Chapter 12: Willing to Meet Gabriel

1550 Words
In her bedroom, Samara felt restless, as she was continuously moving from one side to another. She was not even certain whether her condition was due to the handsome CEO or the monsters she encountered or the riddle of the mystic creature. Her thoughts were completely jumbled. Even though she had a horrible day, the mere thought of Gabriel brought a smile on her face. The moments she spent with Gabriel were not leaving her. Her obsession over a guy was something new for her. All her life, she always maintained a distance from the guys and led a simple life. Guys did like her and proposed but she never paid heed to them. She only had one guy friend Keith. Remembering Keith she got sad, “I miss you, Keith. Hope you are fine.” She spoke softly. Samara’s life has been full of twists and turns. She loved her childhood, her growing years, even her adult life until that terrible accident that changed her life completely. She loved her parents and misses them every moment of every day. If Samara’s mother had been alive Samara would have shared her feelings about Gabriel with her. Her mother was not just her parent but her friend, her guide. She would have become very happy to know that her daughter is at least thinking about a guy. A guy she hardly knows has obliterated her peace. Just thinking about him, she could feel her heart racing. She instantly closed her eyes to calm herself but his face appeared in front of her eyes. The blue gaze held her completely. She moistened her lips and gulped hard. The handsome face seemed very inviting, so she moved her hand to touch his face, but could only touch the air. Samara immediately opened her eyes. Although the spell was broken, she felt flustered. Her face was flamed understanding what she was trying to do. Being an angel, obsessing over a human was unacceptable. She frowned and thought she must have lost her mind. Samara hurriedly went into the washroom and washed her face several times. She felt she could wash away the thoughts that were originally haunting her. But, honestly, it was all in vain. After coming out of the washroom, she sat on the comfortable bed and started typing on her laptop. Samara had not forgotten she had to send the interview questions to the devil and she wanted to pour her heart out in the form of an email. But, she controlled her emotions and started with the interview questions that would help her get an insight into Kristen’s life. Her mind was beautiful chaos but she chose her words carefully to not give out any indication of her skepticism. After completing the questionnaire, she clicked the send button and heaved a sigh of relief. Her task for the day was complete. ~~~~~~~~~~~~-------~~~~~~~~ The next morning, the sun was shining brightly on the mirror building, but the man inside had a sour mood. He was recently told by his trustworthy friend Luther, who went to hell after Pirithous, that four of his most loyal monsters were brutally killed by some mysterious power. The killer was roaming freely and did not leave any trace to be found. Gabriel had lost his temper. He lifted his right foot and broke the table into million pieces while growling hard. The shattered pieces of glass and wood along with the other broken stuff created a mess in the whole office. Luther standing not very far away from Gabriel could feel the heavy inhale and exhale of his master’s breath. Gabriel hated unpredictability and the things happening in his life were taking an erratic turn. Gabriel made a name for himself in the realm of HELL by being the most ruthless, dark, and conniving master Hell ever had and now some identity was shaking the very foundation of his making. He could not let this happen. But, the events in his life were happening so fast that grasping the menial details was becoming a strenuous task for him. To make things right, Gabriel had to ‘up’ his game otherwise the chances of losing the battle were becoming stronger and he would never let that happen. He has always been a winner whether it’s by hook or crook. This time he knew he has to use both. The list of his enemies was getting bigger but the person who at present topped the list was none other than –Samara Agnes. From the time, she came to planet Earth, his life has not been the same. Things were taking an ugly turn and he blamed her for all the happenings. Besides being worried about prophecy, according to which Samara will be the END of God of Hell, he has to deal with a long time rival Pirithous. Gabriel laughed bitterly at the timing of the events. He had been waiting for Samara for over a century. For a hundred years, he thought of the things he would like to do to torture her but after seeing her, his idea of torture changed. Now he wanted to ruin her in every possible way. He always thought he would make her beg for her life but now he wanted her to beg for something else….something more. The thoughts of her beautiful face and voluptuous body brought saliva into his mouth. He had never felt like this for any other female. But, she……She was a devil clad in an angel outfit. He never knew coming to Earth and meeting her would make him feel things, he had been missing for a long time. Gabriel closed his eyes to think of a way to take his mind off her and create a plan to deal with the enemy when suddenly someone knocked on the door. He frowned hard and looked towards Luther. Luther understood his master’s order and went to the door to open it slightly. It was Ms. David. After seeing Luther, she fumbled, “Good Morning Sir …..Please tell Mr. Worth ….Ms. Agnes sent the interview questions.” Luther stared for a moment and then shut the door. Ms. David pouted and went back to her desk. She was well aware of the mood swings of her boss, so she did not even bother to give it a second thought. But, she still managed to curse her boss’s servant in her mind. She thought Luther at 6 feet 3 inches was a giant man with the body of a beast and face of a warrior. Anybody would get scared just by his mere presence, but Maria actually found him attractive. Her boss Gabriel was definitely the most good looking man she had ever seen but Luther came from a different league of men. He exuded power and security that was missing in her life. She was an orphan and craved to be with a man who could provide her both love and security. Luther had never given her a second glance, but she always ogled over him. But, his cold behavior was getting on her nerves. She was always polite with him, however, he showed her arrogance. She decided on that day, that she will also give him a cold shoulder. And with that thought, she resumed her work again. However, in the office when Gabriel found out that Ms. Agnes sent him the mail, his lips curved up into a wide smile. He thought the prey herself was ready to be slaughtered. He was looking for ways to trap her when it had already been set. “So, Ms. Agnes is willing to meet me again….huh?” Gabriel said haughtily. Luther lowered his head and kept his eyes on the floor. He did not know how to answer the question, therefore he remained silent. Gabriel, however, seemed to have become happy after hearing about Samara. “Clear the office”, he ordered Luther before opening the door. Luther nodded and started cleaning the mess that Gabriel had made. Gabriel strolled to the meeting room. He wanted peace to read the questions that Samara sent, only then could he figure out her state of mind and her plan to take revenge. He had the sixth sense with which he could decipher the emotions that the person felt while penning the words. He eagerly opened his email and started reading the questions carefully. After reading one whole page of the questions, Gabriel sucked a few breaths and ran his fingers through his hair. He was frustrated. His whole life, Gabriel could easily decode the emotions of other people either through the gestures or through words. But, this clever witch in the skin of the angel made him question his powers. The most horrendous monster in the whole wide world was being challenged by a menial creature. His psychotic laughter sounded in the huge meeting room. And next the laptop on his table hit the wall and crashed on the ground. Gabriel shut his eyes to control the urge to tear her into pieces. With heavy breaths, he said, “Samara Agnes, you are trying to act over-smart, but wait and watch what I will do to you.” and started laughing psychotically again while his mind was busy making the plan for the destruction of the Angel.
