Sapphire Moon’s New Alpha

Prologue "Are they in here?" A man with a scruffy voice said. A cabinet door opens and three kids are inside. "In here sir," says a woman with a soft voice. There are three kids and two of them are twins.There is screaming and the village outside is on fire. The man and woman take the three scared kids with them and watch as the place they have only ever known burns. The kids are screaming for their parents who were the first to burn in the fire. ~~~ "Madam, here are the children you were looking for. Their entire village is burnt to the ground." The women said. "Thank you Raimy, was it difficult to burn the village of Sapphire Moon and kill all its inhabitants?" The lady with piercing red eyes said peacefully. "No, we attacked when everyone was sleeping. Their parents heard us coming and hid the kids. They were not to hard to find though." Said the man with the scruffy voice bowing to the lady. "Send them to their rooms, I will wipe their memories tomorrow. Never speak of this event ever again." The red eyed lady said. Millicent's POV Ten years after Sapphire Moon Village burned down. ~~~~~ “Millicent?” I heard the boy say at the other side of the door. Could it be? Kane has come to sweep me off my feet and love me for eternity? “Kane?” I ask hoping the answer would be yes. “Can I come in?” The boy asked with sorrow in his throat. My heart skipped a beat, I was worried about what he would say next. So I just opened the door and waved him into my room. I sat at the head of bed and patted the spot right in front of me. He sat down with a sad look on his face. “Millicent, I love you dearly. I want nothing in this world more than you to be happy.” Kane said with such sorrow in his eyes and voice. “Kane,” I reach and and grab his hands. Something about touching him felt so right. “I love you too, what is wrong.” I asked worried about what was happening. “We are too young, we can’t be together right now. You’re eleven and I’m thirteen.” He said. “Kane,” I said as a tear fell from my eyes. “Why are you doing this?” More tears fall and I can see pain in his eyes. “Millie, I’m not what you want or need. I can’t be with you.” He said almost crying himself. “But you Are my everything, I want and need in my life. You are my life Kane, please don’t do this.” I say trying to fight his decision. I wanted to be with him. And I’d hope one day he’d change his mind. “Millie, can you keep this for me?” Kane asked handing me a rose with a locket on it. The rose has not bloomed yet and the locket was engraved with his name on it. I grabbed the rose and with one last word I said I love you to him and he left. I never saw Kane again.
