Anna
“This is beautiful!” I exclaim as I look up at Williams estate. The Classical design, the three-story Greek columns. The sun gleamed off of the marble of the estate. A beautifully carved door sat in the center of the front of the house. William led me up the steps past a freshly manicured lawn. Fields adorned the sides of the house for leagues as far as the eye can see. “This is enormous! If you came over to America on a boat with nothing to your name, how could you have possibly been able to afford something like this?” I wonder.
“Well, I began to grow anything and everything I could. I also invest in some small businesses around the community. You can’t live a long life being broke.” He joked.
“So, you are really going to let me you have been alone all this time?”
“I don’t want to lie to you, I have laid with a few women, but only to deal with the loneliness.” I can’t help but feel a wave of jealousy hit me, I look away, he raises his hands as if he’s trying to calm me down. “And there’s far fewer women than you think. Don’t look like that my darling, they were never anyone special.”
“Did you and your business associate ever…?” I couldn’t finish the question. I know what I was asking him was not fair. “Actually, that is none of my business.”
He chuckles under his breath and shakes his head. He opens the door to his mansion. Floors covered in white marble gleaming; pillars led the way into the main entrance. The ceiling opens up into the main entrance. A mix of marble and dark oak wood run throughout everything I can see. With bursts of flowers throughout the room. The imperial stairway was the centerpiece for the room. Below the stairs were a set of open double doors, which lead into a parlor. “To answer your question, no. Abigail and I are just friends. One can even say she like my family.” He leads me into the plush parlor. And gestures to a couch next to the bar. “I have not been with a woman in decades. I never cared for them like that.” He settles down in a chair next to me. “Anna you are the only one I care about, I promise.” He looks intently into my eyes, as if to make me believe him.
“I believe you; I care about you too. I don’t know there is just something about you that I can not get out of my head. I know we have not known each other for very long, but there is something about you that I can not get out of my head.”
I place my hand on his own. He freezes. I freeze. I look into his gorgeous hazel eyes, he slowly gets closer to me. I feel my eyes close of their own accord. His lips feel so soft against mine. I place my arms around his neck, while he places his around my waist. He pulls me tight almost to the point I can’t breathe, and it turns me on so much more. I thrust my tongue into his mouth, making him moan in ecstasy. I can feel us falling back on the couch. His hands begin to travel over my body. His hands land on my hips. He begins to pull up my skirts. I should tell him to stop, I thought to myself. Easier said than done. My mind was telling me this wasn’t what a decent woman would do. While my body was betraying me. He finally reaches the edge of my gown. His rough fingertips glide up my inner thigh. I can hear myself panting like a crazed animal. William’s matched my own. He reaches my folds and I nearly come off the couch. His tongue matches his fingers, round and round. My mind is beginning to haze over, my legs are shaking involuntary. I can feel myself building up and up, feeling like I was never coming back down.
“I…I…Will-“
“Oh my God!” Abigail screeches from the double doors. She is turned away with her hands covering her eyes. I launch myself up from under William. “I could have gone the rest of my life without seeing that.”
My face is burning so much, ashamed of what I must look like. I look over at William, who is reclined on the couch with a massive grin on his face. I look at him like he’s an i***t. He stands up and pulls me to his side.
“Abigail, meet Anna, my mate. The most beautiful woman on earth.” I don’t want to meet Abigail’s eyes. I know when I look at her the judgement will be right there. Abigail extends her hand towards me. I finally look at her. A bigger smile than Williams adorns Abigail’s.
“Hello dear, its about damn time he finds his mate. I have never seen him this stupid, ever. Now he can start a real family.” I am shocked. There is no judgment, no disgust on her face, just pure happiness.
“You…You aren’t disgusted?”
William barks out a laugh. “She knows what it’s like. Mates, especially new mates, are always in heat for each other. Meaning we can’t keep our hands off each other.”
I begin to understand. I have grown up with so much judgement and not being able to really show my true self. It’s actually a relief to not be ashamed or looked at some kind of way for something I did.
“I think you are going to be ok, Anna. William here is one of the best men I have ever met, other than my mate.” Her voice holds a trace of sadness, I knew she had lost him. My heart goes out to her.
“How long did you know each other?” I ask.
“We knew as soon as we hit puberty. His name was Edward. We had grown up together and I never knew that we were meant to be together. He had been a red haired, skinny kid. I never thought he would be the one. We were together for over 3 centuries; we had a beautiful daughter named Emily. She had just turned four when they took them away from me. I miss them every day.” I don’t realize I have tears running down my face till William swipes them away. I move away from William and go to Abigail. Abigail looks like she’s about to break down, I get the feeling that she has never told anyone. I lay my hand on her and slowly draw her in to hug her. She falls into my arms, bawling her eyes out. I turn to look at William, his face is stunned. I wonder what it was that she said that stunned him. I remind myself to ask him later.
“It’s alright, Abigail, I’m here.” Slowly Abigail begins to gain control of her emotions.
“I apologize,” She says embarrassed.
“No Its alright. I am glad you told me.” I try to steer the conversation to something more pleasant and she jumps on it. “So what can you tell me about William over here and his latest conquests?”
