Love had worn a hard path for Ellen. She had been so hurt in her last relationship, after she gave all her heart to him. It wasn't enough for him though. She vowed not to have anything to do with men again. She still wanted kids, not just with the way they came naturally. After much research and consideration, she cuts out her own path for having children. Years down the line, fate is catching up with her as she arrives back in the country, only to have a hot billonaire on her trail, claiming that her twin boys, the most precious things in life to her are his. Will this bring her world crashing down, or could this be what her heart has been searching for all along.

Ellen Hart had finally broken free from betrayal, leaving behind a cheating ex and a toxic industry tie. Her career as a successful author should have been her fresh start—until she crossed paths with the one man who could destroy it all: Andre Morgan. Billionaire. Publisher. And predator.

After a heated confrontation at a business meeting that turned into a scandal, Ellen finds herself blacklisted, her future hanging by a thread. The last thing she expected was for Andre to appear on her doorstep years later, claiming to be a changed man.

Now a mother of twins, Ellen is determined to protect her peace. But Andre is relentless. With the past smoldering between them and secrets that refuse to stay buried, Ellen must choose: keep running or face the enemy she can’t resist.

"I love love love the cover of this book. Like you have no idea how grateful I am for your services." Ellen said gratefully as she admired the already printed copies of her latest book. "Thank you, ma'am." one of the workers said and then proceeded to package the books with team members. While Ellen monitored the movement in the publishing house, her phone rang and without looking to see who was calling, she picked up the call. "Ellen I need you right now. Show up at Atlantis restaurant." Sia's voice sounded over the phone and Ellen was surprised. Sia never spoke with this tone unless was important. "Is everything alright?" she asked, her eyebrows raised "Yes, at the moment. But whether it will continue to be or not depends on how fast you can make an appearance at this location," Sia replied and Ellen chuckled. "On my way!" Ellen then said as she then stood up from the chair she sat before and stylishly walked out of the publishing house. She was able to leave because the workers were too focused on what they were doing. It didn't seem as if anyone was taking note of who was entering and exiting the publishing house. Not long after she arrived at the front of the restaurant and heard her phone ring again. "I am at the front of the restaurant," she said and looked up as she packed her car in the garage and walked down. When she got to the door of the building, she saw Sia lift up her hands and wave them at her. Smiling, she walked towards the table where her manager was at and sat close to her. "You sounded quite urgent over the phone," she told her. "Yes, I did. Look at this photo I just took." Sia said, handing her phone over to her. Ellen took the phone from her manager and the moment she saw what was there, she froze in shock. Ellen had never felt so stupid and betrayed at the same time her whole life before, as she sat there and scrolled through pictures and videos of her fiance affairs with another woman. He had been having an affair all this while. "How did you get this?" she asked Sia, almost in tears. "I saw him with a woman not long ago and decided to follow him. I had always known he was like this, but you wouldn't believe me. I had to show you evidence today." Sia said and Ellen nodded. “You didn't make it in time. He left this restaurant not too long ago with this same woman” finished Sia. Ellen could only bring her hand to her mouth. "Thank you Sia. I have to leave now," she said and stood up to leave. Sia tried to stop her but couldn't as she had already walked out of sight. Ellen drove so fast to their house. As she did, she recalled a memory of Thomas giving her assurance about their relationship. Something then came to her mind and she stopped the car by the roadside and texted Sia. "Send me those videos." she typed and within a minute, she saw the videos enter seamlessly into her phone's storage. Taking a deep breath, she continued her journey and soon got to Thomas's house. She walked to his door and got it opened with the spare key she had. She badged into the sitting room hoping to catch a woman in there but she couldn't see a thing. It was just Thomas on his couch obviously working on his laptop. "Hey babe!" Thomas said the moment he raised his head and saw his fiance walk in. But she noticed he wasn't in a good mood and seemed to be hiding something. "Who are you looking for?" he asked her. "Who is she, Thomas? Don't you dare try acting innocent. I have proof of you cheating on me." she said, staying where she was. "What are you talking about?” "Why are you asking me that question? Didn't you hear me or not?” "When did you start talking about cheating Ellen?" "What do you mean?” You are my fiance and we have to talk about it when it's important. Don't you think so?" "I think you are crazy," he replied and went back to his system. Ellen was taken aback when she heard this, and it made her check herself twice to be sure she really alright and not out of her mind. She calmed her voice but continued all the same. "Excuse yourself. Thomas. Are you going to deny it?" "I am busy and don't have time to deal with your childish acts today. Didn't you say you were in the publishing house? What are you doing here by this time of the day questioning my love for you?" "Oh please stop trying to cover up, Thomas. If you loved me, you wouldn't cheat on me with some cheap woman." She said her voice beginning to break. "Cheap woman?" Thomas smirked. "I have proof. Look, Thomas. How could you?" she said, almost in tears as she showed him the videos and pictures that she had. Upon seeing them, it was Thomas's turn to be surprised. He somehow regained his composure as if he still didn't think he had done anything wrong. Who had sent her those pictures and videos though? He thought as anger sipped into him. "This is what I get for supporting you every step of the way. What is it that she had to give to you that I couldn't? Ellen cried out, breaking down completely. “Nothing I'm sure!” "Who said it was nothing? I?" "You don't even feel sorry. Thomas is this what I get?" she asked him as she sobbed. Thomas knew he was caught and decided to set things straight. He didn't want to be the guilty party. "You should have just focused on being my fiancee rather than following me all over. I am not disputing the fact that you are great but it doesn'tl change the fact that you couldn't give me the one thing I wanted", he told her and she froze. "What do you want? What do you mean Thomas?" she asked him in tears. Seeing as she had tears in her eyes, he felt his heart still hardened and it was at that moment he realized that he no longer had feelings for Ellen. Standing up, he stood straight. You can't give me what I want."
