Xavier POV: All is perfect, serine, everything seeming to be in a state of suspended animation. A woman sits at the end of a large mahogany table, reading a paper and sipping her tea. "Good morning, mother." A gorgeous man walks in to the room. "Good morning, Xavier." She said without looking up from her paper. "Mother, please. I know that this arrangement is not what you want, but you know it's not my decision." Xavier, every bit of 6'4", knelt down before his mother with his head in her lap. "I wish you and father could understand it's for the good of the country, of the pack." "Oh please, I hate the idea of this arrangement but it was parliament's decision and I know you hate the idea of it yourself. But you are my son, and all I want is for you to be happy." She said. "Are you still going on about this arranged marriage?" An older man joined, the mother and son. "Oh please, Thomas! You were on the phone all night trying to get them to change their minds." The woman spoke. "Those daft old fools have no idea what this would do to the very balance between wolf and man." The man said angrily slamming his fist against the table. Xavier's father, King Thomas Stolvanic IV, has and will always be a very opinionated man who looks out for the well being of his pack and country. His mother, Queen Kathleen, is the gentle and logical side of the throne. Xavier a strong independent man, has proven himself to the pack and country that he is ready to lead, but before the crown of Lasnolvic can be bestowed, Xavier must marry. The parliament of the country has chosen a bride for him, in the dilemma that he cannot find a bride himself. The bride chosen by parliament, Ms. Penelope Barnolav the Duchess of Hasvenic, a perfect fit for Queen, but not Xavier. She has been bred to be Queen with her family only 15th in line for the throne, a Stolvanic fall seemed inevitable. "Father, please there are worse things that we've faced." Xavier tried calming his father. "I have to marry her, not mate with her." He tried to shed some light on the situation. "Dear listen to your son, he has a point. Flawed and irrational but a point." Kathleen calmed her husband. "Everything will work out for the best, father." Xavier assured his father, and tried to convince himself.
