I was currently in the middle of training when Hayden mind-linked me “Raven we have a meeting in 30” he said.

“okay , I'll be there in 15” I replied with a groan. While getting ready to make my trip back home my wolf Miakoda starts pacing, she’s been doing that all day and it has been driving me insane. I usually leave her to work out her problems or go for a run but it looks like whatever is going on in her head is stressing her out.

Okay that’s it “Miakoda what is going on” I yelled frustrated

“huh… oh uh n-nothing is wrong w-why you think something's-wrong?” she replies

“oh I don’t know… it's not like all the pacing and the constant huffs I keep hearing from you!”

“oh”

“yeah oh” I reply “but seriously what’s wrong?”

“I don’t want you to freak you out or anything but I think our mate is close by” she replies the last bit in a mumble

“…” I’m literally out of words. Don’t get me wrong, yes, I’m happy to have a mate and I might get to see him but I don’t want one. The way things are going in my life I just don’t want to be let down again, especially from someone who supposedly is the most important person in the world to you. I don’t want to be let down from him being only to see me then right away reject me, that would probably be my last straw to humanity. So no I don’t want a mate even though how harsh that seems I don’t want the walls I built over the years of building them up to just come stumbling down from one person.

“Hello… Earth to Raven” Miakoda says which snapped me out of my own thoughts

“huh.. oh sorry I was just shocked and you also caught me thinking”

“Raven I know you don’t want a mate because of the things that happened but maybe this will be different” she says a bit warily “can you just promise me one thing Raven?”

“what is that you want me to promise?”

“can you just please at least give it a try?” she asks

“I will think about it Koda” I reply with the nickname she hates. Hehe

“ugh... really ray”

“what I had to bring this horrible conversation to something at least a bit of something more humors” I laugh out

“yeah whatever” she replies after she disappears from my head

I finally finished showing and putting on my clothes after the long chat with Miakoda. I make my way to the alphas office when I smell this intoxicating smell I’ve ever smelt before, the mixture of pine and mint so drool worthy. But then it clicks there’s only one smell that can make you want to drool like crazy and that is your MATE. OMG my mate is on the other side of the door, but wait, I thought it was only a meeting between the high ranks well I’m not saying I wouldn’t mind a mate that’s a high rank but then again, I don’t want a mate right now. But he's on the other side of the door what do I do?!

You know what I’m just going to pretend I don’t know if he's here right yea that easy.

I go to open the door just when my hand is on the door handle the door is yanked out and I go with it into a hard wall. Well that’s what it felt like till I felt the tingles flying through my body like they were high on sugar.

I slowly lift my head to see who the person that has their arms circled around my waist to keep us from falling from the impact. And oh man I just wish I didn’t….
