Chapter 2
Watching the kids dance across the floor, bobbing up and down to “The Way You Look Tonight,” brought a smile to Kate’s face. Holly was taking turns twirling around with her friends Michael and Cooper, and Kate couldn’t help but remember the flower girl at her own wedding. Her niece, Britt, had just as much fun spinning around as Holly was having now, and even though Britt was much older than Holly, it was uncanny how similar they looked. Thoughts of her sister’s daughter and her family made Kate miss home and wonder if she’d made the right decision not going back to Michigan for Christmas this year. But then, if she had, Holly would be missing out on this, and the look on her daughter’s face had her giggling. Holly was certainly having a great time.
