Reflections Of A Dream To Find Her Way

Chapter Eleven

I woke up to the sounds of pots and pans banging downstairs. Mama Penny was busy in the kitchen preparing breakfast for everyone. The sun glistened through my window, the curtains barely casting a shadow.

"Ahhh." I moaned, letting out a huge yawn. I was exhausted, Misty and I had been up all night messaging each other. Today was the start of a new day, I couldn't wait to see Misty.

"Ami, are you awake?" Mama Nachi said as she poked her head into my room. "Yes Mama, I'm up, I'll be downstairs in a moment." I replied. "Good, there's something I need to discuss with you before school."

I scratched my head while she slowly closed my door. 'Wonder what she's wanting, probably going to chew me out some more.' I thought to myself. There was still another hour before school would start, and I promised Misty I would walk with her today.

Quickly I dressed myself, I straightened my skirt while I examined myself in the mirror. My hair was still quite a mess and very unkempt. "Wow bad case of bed head." I murmured. With brush in hand I began to brush out the tangles in my hair. After a few moments my hair was straight and ready for the day. "Hmm?" I pondered as my phone began to buzz. "It's Jackie Lynn." I said. "Hey girl, is everything okay?" I asked, normally Jackie would just meet me outside my house every morning for us to walk to school, it was strange she was calling me so early in the morning.

"Hey have you heard the rumors?" Jackie asked. "Rumors, what rumors?" I replied. "There's a rumor going around that Damian was arrested last night." "Oh yeah, that." I said casually. "Do you know anything about it Ami?" Jackie asked. I slowly began to put on my makeup, I placed her on speaker so I could hear her better.

"Yeah about that... I ran into Damian last night, he tried to attack me." "HE DID WHAT!" Jackie said, I could hear the sounds of stuff crashing on her end. "What happened?" I took a moment to begin putting on my eyeliner. "Apparently he blamed you and me for getting him expelled from school, he tried attacking me on my way home from Mistys. Luckily for me Mama Nachi was out looking for me since I didn't come home early enough."

More sounds could be heard coming from her end, I could hear a boys voice faintly in the background. "Rudy wants to know if you're okay." she asked. "Uh huh, everything is alright, Mama Nachi took care of everything. If the Guild arrested him it's his own fault."

I was still pretty shaken up from last night, but I was even still I was more worried about the punishment my parents were going to give me. "My parents were more shaken up than I was to be honest," I said. "It's understandable, their precious little girl was in danger." Jackie replied.

I don't know why I wasn't shaken up so bad, maybe it was cause somewhere deep inside me I knew I would of been rescued. The whole matter was done and over with and I just wanted to move on from the situation.

"Anyways let's talk about something else." I said as I began to put on my mascara. "Right, so you and Misty are finally a thing now.. See I told you if you just told her how you felt it would all work out for you." I could hear Rudy in the background. "Rudy says now we have a couple to go on double dates with." "True, but how's about letting Misty and me go out on a date first before we try to double up."

It was such an amazing feeling to finally be dating Misty, but at the same time it was nerve-wrecking. I've never dated anyone before. The only example I had to go by was with Jackie Lynn's relationship.

"Ami sweetie are you about ready?" I heard Mama Nachi call me. "I'm almost done Mama, I'll be down in a minute." I shouted back. "I'm gonna let you go Jackie." I said. "Okay, we still walking to school together?" she asked. I could once again hear Mama call for me. "I'm actually gonna be picking Misty up and walking with her, I hope that's okay?"

Jackie Lynn chuckled. "Of course it's okay, I'll see you at school." Jackie said, not long after the call had ended, Mama Nachi called for me one more time. I finished up my makeup as fast as I could, and with haste I soon made my way out of my room and down the stairs towards the living room.
