Chapter Seven

"Oh thank god the days over with." I said joyfully as the final bell of the day rang. Magical Aura's with Mrs. Gardenia went exceptionally well today. I somehow managed to make it to her class before the bell rang and she was in quite the chipper mood today, unlike most days.
I placed my text book into my backpack and soon made my way out into the hallway. Jackie Lynn and Rudy were already waiting for me as the day came to a close.
"Don't you have music practice?" I asked, tapping my finger on my cheek. Rudy nodded his head. "I do, I just wanted to see my special girl since I won't see her until later tonight." he said happily as him and Jackie rubbed noses together. They were the cutest couple here at Mystwhirl Academy, I was glad Jackie had found someone like Rudy to be with.
"Alright, I'll see you tonight for dinner." Jackie replied happily. They would share a passionate kiss together before Rudy said his goodbyes. I waved to him as he disappeared down the hallway.
"You two are really something you know that?" I smiled happily as Jackie and I soon began to walk through the halls together.
"So you excited to be hanging out with Misty today?" Jackie said randomly. I blushed slightly and turned my gaze away from her.
"Of.. of course I am, Misty's a nice girl and she's wanting to make friends." I stammered to say. I could hear a faint uh huh come from Jackie before she giggled. "If you say so, speak of the devil."
Up ahead was Misty, she was running through the hallway waving towards us. I smiled seeing her giving a tiny wave, before she made it to us though, she once again tripped over her feet. "Oh my god." I said before darting towards her. Misty was face first into the floor, the other students looked at her, a couple of girls snickered. "Are you okay Misty?" I asked, kneeling down to her. "Owie Zowie, that hurt." she said as she took my hand into hers.
"You got to watch where you're going." I said calmly as I helped her to her feet.
"You okay?" Jackie asked, Misty's face was red from the fall. "I'm okay, things like this always happen to me, so I'm used to it by now." Misty said, trying to act like nothing happened. "You really need to be more careful, you're going to hurt yourself even more if you're not paying attention." I said. The two of us stood together, her hand still clasped gently in mine. I looked down at my hands before realizing, quickly I turned away, my face turning slightly red.
"You were worried about me?" she asked. "Of course I'm worried about you, you dork." I replied. "Besides you need to be..." I started to say before Misty wrapped her arms around me.
"Yay you were worried about me, that means we're friends right?" she said happily, her chest brushing up against my back. My body quivered, I could hear Jackie Lynn chuckling as Misty continued to hug me.
"I'm gonna take off, I need to get to work." Jackie said. "You two have fun now." With a smile and a wink Jackie waved to the two of us before she too was off for the day.
"Miiisty, can you let me go?" I asked as she continued to squeeze me tighter and tighter. She was just so happy.
"Oh my, where are my manners." she caught herself before letting me go. I turned towards her, her eyes looking down towards the ground, I could see she was blushing as well.
"Anyway, are you ready to go to the park?" I asked. Misty clapped her hands joyfully and made a happy squeak. "I'm super excited," she said happily. There was something about Misty that I just found so adorable. Maybe it was her outlook on life. She always had a smile on her face, and even though she was a klutz, she never let it bother her.
"So, what chapter are you on?" she asked me. I pondered for a moment. "I made it to chapter twenty-three last night. The story is really getting good," I replied. The two of us made our way through the hallways. Misty swayed side to side the entire way—it was cute. We talked about many things as we made our way towards the park. It was like I got to know Misty while we walked together.
