Intro
Life is mundane but bearable. The same old story every single day. I guess that's what mundane means. I look out at the street from my apartment. The street is busy as usual, and I can hear the traffic as if it’s in my room. I live in a garage turned studio apartment. I don’t hate it, but I needed to move for my own sanity. The noise was starting to drive me crazy, and tomorrow was that day.
I had finally secured an apartment in the city. I was on the eleventh floor and a one-bedroom apartment. I am excited. Since I got promoted at work from being a personal assistant to a fashion buyer, I am now able to afford this place. I was a good P.A and worked hard for this. My need to avoid conflict made me a good listener and eager to follow instructions making sure no one was mad at me.
I went back to packing. I looked around to my almost boxed up apartment. As thankful as I am for this place for giving me a home to stay in for the first 2 years of my life in the city, man was this place filled with crazies. The neighbours were loud and nosey, the road was too noisy and the streets were filled with drunk people screaming at night. I couldn't wait to move.
I could fit all my belonging into three suitcases and a few boxes which meant that I could just do all this moving business myself. With a smile on my face, I loaded my car up with all my stuff and closed that cramped apartment's door for the last time. I've still got that smile on my face as I drive to my new apartment.
