The beginning
The smell of a new home filled his nostrils. "It really is big, isn't it mum?" Jordan chattered to his mother. She nodded her head gently. The moving van pulled out of the driveway, leaving a trail of smoke and endless boxes in the front yard. Jordan removed his shoes and took a few boxes to his new bedroom. When he opened the door, he noticed strange markings on the walls. Jordan decided to ignore them, and just paint over them when he had the time. It had been two days since Jordan moved to the new house and he had nearly finished unpacking. It was midnight and Jordan woke up to a strange sound in his room. It sounded as if the noise was from within the walls. Jordan didn't think much of it, assuming the neighbours were the ones making the noise. He closed his eyes and began falling asleep once again. Just minutes later, Jordan heard more noises. These began creeping him out slightly, so he decided to go downstairs and sleep on the sofa. The rest of the night was a peaceful sleep without interruption. Jordan opened his eyes and got off the sofa. He walked upstairs and got some clothes out of the boxes. Once he changed, he went to his mother and told her about the night in his room. " Oh honey, your just getting used to the new home," his mother exclaimed, " you will get used to it soon." He let out a sigh and left her room. Jordan knew something was up, and those noises and marks weren't normal. He decided to leave it for now and look into it more later in the day. He looked out the bay window, the lake was glistening in the sun's rays and reflecting on his face. " Jordan! Come help me empty some of these boxes!" His mother screamed from upstairs. Jordan got up and went upstairs to help his mother unpack things. Jordan was glad to help her unpack so the place would feel more like home without the boxes everywhere. Once they had finished, Jordan spent the rest of the day playing games on his computer and looking at the gorgeous view from his window. Night fell fast and Jordan went to sleep ready for his first day at a new school in the morning.
