DESCRIPTION

In a galaxy where love is outlawed and emotional energy powers technology, a bounty hunter and a runaway prince spark a cosmic revolution.

Rika Blaze is a cold, razor-sharp bounty hunter who trusts no one. Zeke Rendar is a charming fugitive with an illegal Emotion Core that turns his feelings into raw power. When Rika captures Zeke and her dying starship suddenly reboots from his flirtation, she realizes he’s more than a paycheck — he’s the emotional key to a galaxy-wide uprising.

Chased by the Heart Regulation Agency, the two are forced into a reluctant partnership. Their bond deepens as they uncover the truth behind the agency’s cold regime, Zeke’s fractured heart, and a starship that evolves with every emotional breakthrough. Each episode challenges them with heart-powered tech, absurd sci-fi romance traps, and an AI that won’t stop shipping them.

To survive, they must sync.

To win, they might have to fall in love.

But love in this galaxy is dangerous.

And together… they burn brighter than a supernova.

STAR STRUCKVELOCITYS1
CHAPTER 1: The Core and the Bounty Space was quiet. Too quiet. Rika Blaze didn’t trust quiet. Not in this quadrant. Her boots echoed sharply through the dim corridors of the S.S. Blushburn, her rusted ship crawling through neutral space like a mechanical ghost. The engines were sputtering, the shield batteries were dry, and the AI hadn’t insulted her in at least an hour. “Either you’ve died,” Rika muttered, “or you’re ignoring me on purpose.” “Running a self-diagnosis,” the ship’s AI, S.A.S.S.Y., snapped back. “Because piloting this glorified toaster with you is emotionally draining.” There it was. She dropped into the pilot’s seat, skimming bounties off the local net. Most were small-time: smugglers, data-thieves, rogue DJs. Then a face caught her eye. ZEKE RENDAR WANTED: 80,000 credits CRIME: Possession of an illegal Emotion Core STATUS: Extremely unstable. Do not engage directly. The mugshot showed a tousle-haired boy with a cocky smirk and bright blue eyes. His chest glowed faintly—like a tiny star was trying to escape through his ribcage. “A Core?” she muttered, eyes narrowing. “They still make those?” Zeke Rendar was more than a fugitive—he was living contraband. And if she brought him in, she could pay off half the Blushburn’s debts. Target acquired. Zeke wasn’t exactly hiding. Rika found him in a crowded bazaar on Vega Drift, charming a vendor into handing over free dumplings. He spotted her instantly. “Hey!” he grinned. “Nice eyepatch. Is that fashion or trauma?” “Neither,” Rika deadpanned. “It’s so I don’t have to see idiots like you in both eyes.” “Ouch. Savage. Let me guess—bounty hunter?” She lunged. Zeke bolted. The chase was brief—he ran well, but Rika ran better. She tackled him into a stack of melon-shaped space fruit, and within minutes, he was cuffed and thrown into the Blushburn’s holding cell. “You know,” he said through a split lip, “I’ve been arrested before, but never by someone this attractive.” “I’ve shot men for less.” “...Is that a yes to dinner?” Before she could reply, the Blushburn’s systems suddenly flared. Consoles lit up. The core roared. Weapons armed themselves without prompt. Rika blinked. “What the—” “Warning,” S.A.S.S.Y. blared. “Ship powered by emotional resonance. Detected new source: Subject Z-1. Core compatibility at 73%.” Zeke gave a weak shrug. “I may have... jump-started your ship with my heart.” Rika’s jaw dropped. “You mean your Core reacts to—” “Intense feelings, yes. Surprise. Anger. Romance. Especially sarcasm.” She turned slowly, eyes burning. “I am going to throw you into a sun.” Moments later, alarms blared again. An HRA Pursuit Squadron had locked onto them. The Heart Regulation Agency never hesitated when tracking emotion-based energy spikes. Rika lunged into the cockpit. “They’re here for you.” “No pressure,” Zeke called. “But if you hold my hand, we might not die.” “WHAT?” “It boosts the ship’s output! I swear!” Growling, she grabbed his hand. The engine screamed to life. Light surged around the hull. The Blushburn kicked into overdrive, warping out just as plasma blasts filled the void behind them. When the stars settled, Rika released his hand like it burned. “This is not happening,” she muttered. But it was. And it had only just begun. CHAPTER 2: Emotions and Explosions The Blushburn lurched out of hyperspace, coughing sparks and engine smoke. Rika Blaze wrestled the controls, eyes locked on the flashing red fuel gauge. “Warning,” S.A.S.S.Y. said, sounding far too smug for an AI. “Core resonance critically unstable. Ship requires immediate emotional calibration.” “I don’t even know what that means!” Rika snapped. “It means,” Zeke said calmly from the co-pilot seat, “that you and I need to... connect.” She stared at him like he’d grown another Core out of his forehead. “We are not syncing. We are not bonding. We are not doing whatever space-astrology ritual powers this ridiculous ship.” “Then we’re going to crash,” he said, motioning to the rapidly approaching planet. “…Fine.” They slammed into Bellona-9. The planet was a bizarre mix of pastel cities and bureaucratic nightmare. Everything ran on emotional currency — every interaction taxed, measured, or stored. Rika’s glare at customs? 15 credits. Zeke’s flirtatious wink at the officer? 35 credits and a warning. “I hate this place,” Rika muttered. “You hate everywhere.” “I hate you more.” “Spicy,” he grinned. She stormed off. They found a shady technician who could recalibrate the Blushburn’s Emotional Grid. “There’s a catch,” the tech said. “You need a fresh Sync Spark. Only place to get one is in the Pulse Circuit — Bellona’s premier emotion-based competition.” Rika raised an eyebrow. “What kind of competition?” “Think laser tag… but powered by feelings.” Zeke lit up. “I’m so in.” Rika groaned. “You’re going to get us vaporized.” Inside the Pulse Circuit, neon lights pulsed in time with background music. Couples laughed, clung to each other, or yelled sweet nothings into headsets. “Welcome to the Sync Arena,” boomed an announcer. “Only the most connected duos survive. Victory goes to those who feel!” Rika and Zeke stood on a heart-shaped platform, wearing emotion-synced vests. “This is humiliating,” Rika muttered. “You’ll survive,” Zeke said. “You’re too stubborn to die.” The game started. They were terrible at first. Rika’s blaster misfired every time she got annoyed. Zeke’s aim veered whenever he flirted. Their emotional link was chaos. “You’re not syncing!” the AI referee shouted mid-match. “Because he’s an i***t!” “Because she’s emotionally repressed!” “BECAUSE YOU WON’T SHUT UP!” Suddenly, their vests surged. A bolt of energy launched from their weapons, blasting a hole through the arena wall. Everyone paused. “…Did that count as a combo?” Zeke asked. Rika looked at him, stunned. “Arguing charges the weapons?” “It’s our version of harmony.” They fought through the final round like a dysfunctional dream team. Arguments triggered shields. Snark fueled speed. A shared high-five unleashed a massive EMP wave that knocked out the last team. They won. Afterward, they sat on a rooftop above the arena. Bellona-9 glowed below like a soft heart monitor. “You said your Core reacts to emotion,” Rika said, quieter than usual. “How’d you get it?” Zeke hesitated. “It’s... not just any Core. I was born with it. My planet was one of the last emotion-powered civilizations. The HRA destroyed it. I barely escaped.” Rika watched him, jaw tightening. “They’re hunting you because you feel?” “They’re hunting me because I can make others feel. And now they think you can too.” She stood. “Then we run.” “You’re not ditching me?” “No,” she said flatly. “I’m making sure you don’t die before I can punch you again.” He smiled. “That’s the nicest thing you’ve ever said.” “Don’t ruin it.” Lights twinkled above them. But not stars. Alarms. The HRA had found them again. Rika clenched her fists. “Ready to sync?” Zeke offered his hand. “Let’s argue our way to freedom.” CHAPTER 3: Sync or Sink The Blushburn shook violently as the Heart Regulation Agency descended like a swarm of mechanical hornets. Rika threw herself into the cockpit, Zeke right behind her, heart glowing like a supernova. Above them, the fleet commander’s voice boomed through a com-channel: “Turn over Subject Z-1 and your ship. Emotion is a virus. This ends now.” “Not today,” Rika growled. The ship's system flashed red. Emotional Sync Critical. “You’ll have to connect. Fully,” S.A.S.S.Y. warned. “One honest surge of feeling should trigger Star Drive… or you both fry.” Zeke turned to her, more serious than he’d ever been. “I know you don’t trust easily,” he said. “But I trust you, Rika. Not because I have to… but because you made me feel something real. Something sharp. Something worth dying for.” Rika's eyes flickered. “You’re such a dork,” she whispered. “But you’re my dork.” Their fingers met. Emotional Sync: 100%. The ship exploded with light. Wings unfolded. Engines flared violet. The Blushburn transformed mid-air, revealing its true form: Starseeker Mode — a mythic state fueled only by pure emotional resonance. “What the hell is this?” the HRA commander gasped. Rika and Zeke launched forward through the stars, slicing through enemy cruisers like poetry on fire. Their love—rough, messy, unspoken—was now a weapon. Agent Veil, masked and silent, descended to stop them personally. He moved like shadow, like silence in a dream. His blade met Rika’s fists mid-air. Sparks flew. “You synced,” he said flatly. “Damn right we did,” Rika hissed. Zeke barreled in beside her, Core burning white-blue. “You’re scared,” he told Veil. “Because you remember what this feels like.” For just a second… Veil hesitated. The mask cracked. He faltered. The moment broke. Rika delivered the final punch. Zeke’s heart burst into light. The Starseeker unleashed a pulse that shook the sky — and the HRA fleet vanished in a surge of radiant energy. They landed in silence, surrounded by stars. Zeke leaned against the console, breathing hard. Rika stared at the slowly calming lights of the cockpit. “You good?” he asked. “Better than good,” she said. “I’m… not alone.” He blinked, startled. “I mean emotionally,” she clarified. He smiled softly. “I know.” Outside, a thousand systems flickered back to life. People felt again. Planets bloomed. Emotion returned to the galaxy. Their connection had broken the blockade. S.A.S.S.Y.’s voice returned, slightly teary: “You two make me sick. And I love it.” Rika turned to Zeke. “So…” He raised an eyebrow. “…Where to next?” she asked. Zeke grinned. “Anywhere that needs saving. Or syncing.” Together, they launched into the stars — messy, dangerous, starstruck. And very, very in love.
