Chapter Sixteen
Seokjin didn't get enough sleep because he keeps on asking himself why did Jungkook suddenly showed up last night hugging him without even saying anything. Of course, he's shocked.
He asked the younger what's wrong but he just got a faint smile as an answer and without a word, Jungkook left. He tried to call for him again but it's too late, he's nowhere in sight already.
Seokjin was thankful though. He doesn't know the reason but he needed that, he needs that kind of hug.
Though, the reason of Jungkook's sudden arrival last night keeps on bugging him the main reason as to why he didn't hesitate to say yes when the younger asked him if they could meet today.
Good thing, Sora doesn't have classes, Yoongi and Jimin are just in their house and they were glad to have Sora over. They missed her so much!
"When is Daddy comin'?" Sora asked while her mother is combing her long hair.
Seokjin kissed the top of her head and made her sit on his lap as he held both of her small hands.
"Soon, baby. He's working." Seokjin said trying to convince himself more than his little girl.
Sora shrugs her shoulders. She is actually used at not having him around but she's happier when she's with him. She just wished that her father will stay with them longer.
"He promised me he'll be here for family day," She looks up at her mother, "He'll be here, Mama?" She carefully asked.
This is her first family day and she's actually fine with being with her mother only but since her father already made an appearance, she already had a lot of conversations with her classmates that her handsome father is coming with them.
"Of course, princess. Daddy doesn't break promises." Seokjin said biting the insides of his cheeks.
The both of them are just waiting for the couple to arrive, Jimin also told him that he'll drop him in the restaurant wherein Jungkook is already waiting for him.
He feels bad for making him wait but Jungkook assured him that he's fine and even said to take his time. The younger knows that he's a busy single mother and has a lot of things that he should do that's why being late is not an issue for Jungkook.
After ten minutes of waiting for both Jimin and Yoongi they finally arrived. Sora jumped out from his seat and ran towards her Uncle Yoonie and clinging like a koala while her Uncle Jiminie peppered her with kisses.
"Let's go?"
Seokjin nods his head and they went out of the house already, he made sure that he turned off all the lights and the door is locked. They went inside couple's car with both him and Sora are in the backseat.
"Jungkook is already there?" Jimin asked looking behind to see his friend.
Sora gasped crossing her hands as she looks at her mother. She feels like she just got betrayed. She missed her Uncle Kookie too! She also wants to see him.
"Mama! Can I come?" Sora starts to tug the hem of his shirt with a pout forming in her lips, "Please." She plead.
Seokjin held both of his daughter's hand kissing it a little before ruffling her hair which made the little girl scrunched up her nose. She already have an idea what's her mother's decision but she still has hope.
"Sorry but not this time, princess."
Sora scoffed her mother looked at her with apologetic eyes but she just crossed her arms while frowning at her mother, Jimin cant help but to let out a small laugh while looking at the both of them.
"Don't give me that look, Kim Sora." Seokjin said in a warning voice.
The little girl took in a deep breathe as her lips wobbled, she feels aggravated, "Mama's a meanie." She whispered.
All of them heard that though, Yoongi even glanced just to see the adorable little girl who looks like her heart just got broken. Jimin cant help but to coo and he just wanted to comfort the almost crying little girl.
"Baby, it's because they're going to talk some adult stuff." Yoongi explained.
It's her Uncle Yoonie. Uncle Yoonie is always right that's why she slowly nods her head and wiped her eyes even without the tears that made all of them shook their head, little drama queen.
"Be a good girl, okay?" Seokjin kissed her forehead already, "Bye now." He waved his hands to his daughter and also to his friends as he slammed the car door closed already.
"Reservation, Sir?"
He smiled as a girl approached him with a welcoming smile plastered on her face.
"Jeon Jungkook..."
The girl slowly nods her head and motioned him to just follow her. He looks around the place. There's quite a lot of people but the place remains calm and quite. Just by the look of it, he probably cant afford the food in here.
They stopped at a round table and saw Jungkook who looks at him as he stood beside the vacant seat. The girl left already and the younger motioned him to sit and he gladly obliged.
"Sorry, im late." He let out an awkward smile.
He actually doesn't know how he should act infront of Jungkook. The both of them is not doing something wrong but the atmosphere is very awkward. The older doesn't know if he should atleast make a conversation with the younger but he's afraid that the younger wont even like it.
"I ordered the food already, hope you don't mind." Jungkook cleared his throat.
He bobbed his head. It's not even in his plan to eat in here. He only had pancakes at home but he's already full.
"How's Sora, though?"
"Fine. She almost threw a tantrum when she find out im going to see you. She missed you." He smiled as he thought about his daughter.
Jungkook protruded his lips nodding his head. He also wants to see the little girl but bringing her today is not the best idea considering what he's going to say to the older.
He's nervous, so so nervous. He doesn't know how will Seokjin react. Damn! He doesn't even know if Seokjin will believe in him.
Jungkook doesn't really want to say it but he doesn't want Seokjin to get fooled by that bastard. He cant let that happen or his conscience will eat him up. He will let him know and it's up to him whether or not he will believe in him or not.
Jungkook thanked the waiter as their food is already served. They ate first and Jungkook keeps on glancing at him trying to find the right time to break the news to him.
"So, what are you going to say?"
Jungkook's eyes widened biting the insides of his cheeks. He looks at the older with his eyes full of worry. What if he gets hurt? Jungkook doesn't want that. He wants nothing but the best for the older and what he's going to say will surely break him.
"I..I actually saw Taehyung in a party last night," Jungkook scratched the back of his head, "Im also there so yeah." He shrugs his shoulder, he doesn't really know how to end it.
"And?"
Jungkook screwed his eyes shut. He tilted his head and looks straight at the older's eyes.
"I saw him getting kissed by a man." Jungkook blurted out.
Seokjin stopped. He looks at Jungkook with a serious look on his face as he squinted his eyes hoping that the younger will take that back as a joke.
Seokjin let out an awkward laugh as he shook his head like it didn't even bother him which annoyed Jungkook a little bit. Little did he know, Seokjin is slowly breaking.
"Maybe they're just friends." Seokjin reasoned out.
Jungkook slammed the table which made Seokjin flinched. The younger clenched his fist trying to calm himself.
How can Seokjin accept all of that? Why? He's telling the truth. He should know that he deserves someone more than just a cheating bastard. Jungkook is not saying all of it just because he wants Seokjin all to himself, he's not like that.
"Friends just don't kiss each other like that,Seokjin!" Jungkook said through gritted teeth.
Seokjin shook his head trying to keep his tears. He doesn't want to let Jungkook knows that he's affected by what he said. No, he still needs to ask Taehyung about it. He just cant jump into conclusion. He cant ruin what they have right now, they were getting better. Seokjin doesn't want to ruin it.
"I.. I ha.. have to go." Seokjin looks down rushing out of the restaurant.
Jungkook stood up but he decided against it and just got back to his seat massaging his temples.
"Baby, why?" he whispered
