Chapter 3: Losing control

He didn’t show up, nor the next few weeks, our boss had put people at every bar in the city but, he hadn’t shown up at any of them.
A couple of weeks passed when our work colleagues wanted to meet and go for a few drinks, I wanted Jax to come, but he wouldn’t, so I went alone.
Darryl, of course, kept me company, and I was kind of drunk when I started blurting all of my problems to him.
When I finally shut up, he stroked a strand of hair away from my face and said, “I think you are really beautiful, if you were mine, I’d never stop touching you.”
It felt good to have a man pay me compliments and make me feel attractive and desirable, and so when he leaned in and kissed me I didn’t pull back immediately.
His lips moved against mine for about three seconds before I came to my senses and pulled back. “Darryl, no.”
“Sorry, I shouldn’t have done that, but I don’t regret it.”
I narrowed my eyes at him, and he said, “I won’t touch you again, I swear, but if you ever change your mind, you know where to find me.” He got up and left and guilt hit me, I hadn’t kissed him back, but I hadn’t exactly pushed him away instantly either.
Romulus picked me up and when we parked up back at the pack house, he leaned in and kissed me. Pulling back, he asked, “why can taste I someone else on your lips.”
I looked down at the floor and then finally burst in to tears. I had always been a crier, but these last few years I’d started to try and hold it in or cry alone, it was the first time in a long time he had seen me cry, and he asked, “what happened?”
I told him and explained how I felt about not being wanted by Fenris or Jax lately, how I didn’t feel like a sexy desirable woman, that even Romulus himself I had to make the first move or nothing would happen between us either, I admitted it felt good to have someone say nice things about me and make me feel desirable again.
I was waiting for him to get angry and tell me to pack my stuff and leave, but he pulled me into his arms and held me tight.
“I’m so sorry you’ve been feeling like that Rose, you’re right, we have been neglecting you, which isn’t fair when you’ve been trying so hard to set up dates for us to spend together. I guess we’ve all just got a bit stuck in the routine of family life with school, homework and housework, and then pack business too.”
“Aren’t you going to dump me?” I sniffled.
He laughed softly and stroked my hair away from my face. “Never, besides, we’ve all hurt you before, me with my stupid flirting around Aurora, Jax with her too and Fenris.”
“Fenris?”
He went quiet and admitted, “when our mate bond was broken, and that spell they added to numb our feelings towards you, he slept with one or two girls, and then, of course, the stripper thing.”
I calmed down somewhat, and he asked, “did you enjoy it?”
“Huh?”
“The kiss, did you like it?”
“No,” I mumbled.
“I think you did,” he smirked.
I didn’t say anything and blushed, and blushed harder when he huskily asked, “did he touch you?”
“Don’t know what you mean,” I mumbled.
“Did he touch you between your thighs?”
I shook my head no, and he murmured, “you didn’t let him put his hands down your panties and play with you?”
“No!” I hid my face, and he pulled my hands away and kissed me. I forgot Jax had mentioned years back that Romulus got off on watching his girl being f.ucked, clearly that was true because he was kissing me hungrily at the thought.
Jax banged on the window, making me jump and Romulus glared at him, “what!”
“You coming in or what? Your l.ittle s**t of a daughter keeps back chatting and refusing to eat her dinner.”
“Hey, don’t say that, she’s your daughter too,” I snapped.
“When she’s acting like that, she’s Rom’s.”
He went to walk back in, but the wind blew through the car window, and he caught my scent. “Why the f***k can I smell Darryl all over you?”
He leaned in through the window to look at me and asked, “why have you been crying? Did he do something to you?”
“No, it wasn’t like that,” I mumbled.
Romulus snapped, “it’s because we’ve all been neglecting her, some hot guy came along telling her she’s beautiful and that he wants her, made her feel how we should have been making her feel and she let him kiss her for a few seconds, she should have let him do more.”
“Shut up pervert,” Jax snapped, looking to me he said, “is that true, we’ve really been that bad?”
I nodded and explained to him everything I’d felt about us, his lack of affection, that I missed how we used to be, and he grew more serious.
Opening the car door, he took my hand and pulled me out and into his arms. “I’m sorry, I know I’ve been a c.unt, but I didn’t realise it was hurting you so much, I thought we were just being a stupid bickering couple.”
“That’s all we’ve been, you never kiss me or hold me, let alone touch me in bed, are you still attracted to me?”
He looked down at me sadly and cupping my face between his hands he softly said, “aw Rose, darling, don’t say that, of course I am, you’re still sexy and beautiful as f***k to me.”
“Then why don’t you want to be close to me anymore?”
“I do, I guess I’m a bit like Fenris with the lack of affection s.hit, I forget sometimes and with the kids and everything it’s not been so easy. Come to bed with me tonight, and I’ll give you lots of love, you’ve been spending way too much time with Rom lately.”
“I’m the only one who’s been f.ucking her and giving her what she wants, that’s why d.ick.”
Still looking at me, Jax flipped him the finger and said, “I’ll pay you more attention, I promise , I’ll let it slide this time because I f.ucked you around before with Ashley and Aurora, but don’t you dare let him touch you again, or I will kill him.”
I looked up at him and asked, “are you joking?”
“No, I will f.ucking kill him if he goes anywhere near you like that again.”
Looking in his eyes, I knew he meant it and gulped. “Ok,” I said quietly.
“Don’t be afraid of me Rose, I would never hurt you, just everyone around you.”
I lightly pushed him, and he pulled me back against his body, grinning. “I have to admit, I’ve missed sucking on those t.its.”
“Jax!”
“What, you want me all over you, don’t you?” He kissed my neck, tracing his way up with his tongue, sending spikes of pleasure through me.
It felt so good, his lips on my skin, giving me open-mouthed kisses. A tear escaped me, and he wiped it with his thumb. “Hey, what’s up, darling?” He whispered.
“It’s just been so long since you’ve been this soft with me.”
I couldn’t help but start to cry again, and he gently and lovingly kissed my tears away. “I’m so sorry, darling. I love you so much, come here.” He hugged me tight, and I sobbed into his chest.
“Romulus was walking towards the pack house when Jax asked, “where are you going?”
“To get Fenris, he needs to see how the way he’s been treating her has affected her.”
They were back within minutes and for the third time we had to explain about Darryl and why, but Fenris surprisingly reacted differently to the others, usually Jax was the hot-tempered and aggressive one, but Fenris lost his s.hit and punched the car door, denting it and growled, “why would you let another man kiss you?”
“We just told you why,” Jax snapped.
“You better f.ucking do what you do best and kill him,” Fenris snapped back.
“I’m not killing anyone.”
Fenris hit the car again and then grabbing me, he pushed me up against it and leaned his hands either side of me, trapping me in. “Did you like it?”
“No!”
“You could have f.ucking talked to me about how you felt.”
“I tried, I’ve been trying for months.”
I’d never seen him so angry before, back when I’d first joined the pack, Jax had mentioned Fenris had beaten someone for simply entering his room without knocking and over time I’d almost wondered if that was even true because he was always so calm and sensible. I had always been more afraid of him than Jax, now I knew why, and I was left in no doubt that Jax had been telling the truth.
He smashed his fist into the car inches from my head and I broke down in tears, shaking in fear. Jax tried pulling him away from me, but he shrugged him off. “f***k off Jax.”
“You’re scaring her, don’t be a c.unt!” Jax yelled.
Fenris didn’t care and went to hit the car again, and Jax grabbed his fist and pushed him away from me. He stood in front of me protectively and Fenris tried to fight his way back to me, I didn’t know if he wanted to hit me next at this point, he was so angry.
Jax punched him in the face, and he punched Jax back. Romulus watched like he was amused by the show, I knew it was because he knew how psychotic Jax was when it came to fights, Fenris was an incredible fighter, but he had no doubt Jax could protect me.
They fought until both of them were covered in blood, and Jax had Fenris pinned to the ground before he finally calmed down enough to talk. “Alright! Get off me, Jax I’m fine now.”
“Are you? You went f.ucking nuts!” Jax yelled back.
Fenris pushed him off and got up. His face was a mess where Jax had split his lip and made his nose bleed, his right cheek had a deep gash and bruises were blooming here and there too, Jax didn’t look much better.
Fenris came over to me and I flinched in fear. He looked at me like that broke his heart and I saw guilt too. He very slowly and gently came over and pulled me into his arms. “I’m so sorry, baby.”
I didn’t move at first, and he begged, “please babe, please don’t be scared of me, I would never hurt you.”
“Just smash your fist beside my head,” I whispered.
“I’m sorry, I just love you so much, and I can’t stand the thought of some f***k touching you like that, you’re mine!”
Jax coughed and said, “uh, she’s f.ucking ours too dickhead.”
Fenris kicked back at him and muttered, “shut up, this is a moment between me and Rose.”
“I’m sorry I didn’t pull back fast enough,” I whispered.
Romulus was the one who said, “you shouldn’t be so p.issed anyway, now we are even, we f.ucked her around before the kids, when the mate bond broke you f.ucked two girls, and then there was the time with the stripper—”
Fenris shoved him and said, “alright! Shut up! I know that, I was more p.issed at the fucker who kissed her than I was with Rose.”
With his knuckles bleeding, he wrapped one arm around my neck holding me close but kept his fist closed and away from me, so he didn’t bleed all over me.
“I want to claim her tonight, I want all trace of him gone and only us on her.”
“You’re going to have to share then, I already said she’s sleeping with me tonight,” Jax said.
Fenris had only ever once shared me with his brothers properly, one time he’d had s**x with me while they were in the room, but they didn’t join in and the other was the only time they all took me together. He was hesitant but then sighed, “fine.”
Romulus said, “I’ll spend the night with her tomorrow, I know Fenris doesn’t like sharing in bed, so let’s not overwhelm him after that psychotic break he just had.”
Fenris pushed him and muttered, “shut up.”
Both Fenris and Jax went and cleaned themselves up and only Fenris shifted to his wolf form and back to heal himself, the damage wasn’t bad, so he was pretty much healed when he returned to me. Jax didn’t heal himself, and I asked, “don’t you want to heal?”
“Nah, I like pain, darling,” he grinned.
Fenris pushed me on to the bed and said, “take her panties off for us.”
Jax came over and slid my panties down my legs teasingly and then threw them to the floor.

“I find being alpha pretty easy,” Jax grinned.
“Of course you do, you’re a f.ucking psycho and get to punish and t.orture them when they step out of line, I have to do the boring paperwork and meetings,” Fenris snapped.
I laid my head on his chest and stroked circles on his muscular arm with my finger. It made him relax, and eventually, we all fell asleep.
