Lizzie was delighted with the upper floor; it was everything she had imagined. There was a large mezzanine, as Nora had remembered at the top of the stairs. The fireplace from the first floor carried right on through to the second floor and was a focal point on the mezzanine. It would look lovely with bookshelves built in around it. Four bedrooms were on either side of the mezzanine. They were small, but Lizzie and Trisha both agreed if a wall was knocked out between them, they would make nice suites and a bathroom could easily be installed in each suite.
