The peaceful silence of the reserve had turned to a horrified collective gasp as the others reached Lizzie and Trisha. It wasn"t until the cries of a crow, angry at having humans invading his sanctuary, broke the silence before anybody spoke. "Lizzie, don"t go near him. It"s too late, he’s dead," Trisha halted Lizzie"s forward movement, and her voice set things in motion. The building inspector, who was the first to reach them, pulled out his phone and called the authorities. Lizzie gave a curt nod at Trisha"s words and then turned to the others behind her. “Would somebody please go to the plantation entrance to direct the authorities when they arrive?
