Anaxia regained her consciousness, and she felt her body ache and her energy drained from entering the void of memories. She brought her hand to her face and removed the sweat that had developed on her face. Annaxia never thought she could see her daughter again after all these years. Her abilities have been suppressed for the past twelve years that it took everything in her to contact Kara.
Anaxia felt angry at herself because she feared that her daughter now despised her. If she could turn back the hands of time, she would have escaped with her daughter instead of trying to sacrifice herself. Annaxia felt relieve wash over her because he did not find her doing this, if he had seen her, she would have to face his anger.
Anaxia’s jumped from surprise when she saw her husband staring at her from the door before closing it and walking towards her. He continued to look at her and she began to feel uncomfortable under his watchful gaze. Anaxia decided to she would clear the air first before he started asking questions she did not plan to answer.
‘How did the meeting go?’ Anaxia asked Prima hopping she does not sound too suspicious.
‘You look uncomfortable.’ He said without responding to her previous question.
‘I am not uncomfortable I am just feeling weak as usual.’ Anaxia said as she looked at his face to try and read him.
‘Suppressing your powers is good for you Anaxia. It stops you from trying to do stupid things.’ Prima said as he continued to pace around their chamber slowly.
‘Why do you let those Elders dictate you? Are you not powerful and an Elder yourself?’ Anaxia shouted angrily, forgetting just a minute ago she did not want to anger him.
‘I am powerful, but I cannot go against the entire council. This is how it should be, and this is how it will remain.’
‘How can you be so cruel?’ Anaxia asked as tears began to run down her eyes.
‘She is too powerful Anaxia, she needs to be contained.’ Prima said as he came to stand in front of Anaxia who was seated on the bed.
‘Why did you lie about your identity when you met me? Is Pruor really your brother?’
‘He is my brother but only on that planet not here in Oxyna. As you know I am an Elder while he is just an ordinary Valkyrie.’
‘Prima, was it a plan to have child with me?’ Anaxia asked as she wiped the tears that dressed her cheeks. He took in a deep breath before he continued to speak.
‘We the Elders needed to secure the lineage of the Original Elementals. You are their decedent and we needed to bring another one into existence, hence I was sent to be with you. Original Elementals can control all elements and are extremely powerful. Centuries ago, they had sacrificed themselves to save this place against the turned Elders now known as the Petals of Evil.’ Prima said and sat down on the bed.
‘So, you are saying that you used me?’ Anaxia asked with a sad expression,
‘I came to use you but a fall in love with you. I had to make sure that you were removed from the clan of witches because you did not belong there.’ Prima answered truthfully.
‘Why then will be have to fight Kara in the future?’ Anaxia asked confused. Prima sighed in frustration, but he carried on speaking either way.
‘She is pure but now she is vampires this will complicate things especially since she burs with anger. Kara might turn evil if she can fight the darkness that will come to tempt her. The Petals of Evil will try to contact her because they know who she is.’
‘Are you saying that my daughter is in danger?’ Anaxia said ripping the covers off her body and sliding closer to her husband.
‘Yes, but we can’t interfere now it would be too soon.’ Prima said sternly.
‘Will wait for her to turn evil or die before we can help her?’
‘She doesn’t belong in the world Anaxia she belongs here. If she becomes a threat instead of a solution, she will need to be wiped out.’
‘You can’t do this Prima she is your child!’ Anaxia shouted.
‘She is my daughter, but she is also a future Elder. You were meant to sit on the council, but they doubt your sincerity so that’s why they have been waiting for Kara to become of age.’
‘You all are planning to rip her from the life she knows so she can live here?’ Anaxia said angrily.
‘She is meant to live here to bring balance in the life below.’ Prima said and stood up from the bed.
‘When does the change begin?’ Anaxia asked.
‘When her hair turns white like mine, since she has wings that will turn white too. Finally, she will faint when her eyes turn completely white. That is when the real test will begin.’ Prima said. Anaxia sighed and frowned at him.
‘I don’t think I can ever forgive you for this.’ Anaxia said as she looked up at Prima.
‘She has the true blood that is meant to lead, so it doesn’t matter if you will forgive or not.’ With these final words Prima walked out of their chamber, leaving Anaxia on the bed sobbing and hurting for her daughter. She never though that this was the truth behind all her life tragedies.
∞VAMPIRE KINGDOM∞
Kara was floating in the air with her legs crossed as she inhaled and exhaled. The usual black smoke that would surround her during mediation was now white. She was unaware of this as her eyes were deeply closed in concentration because she was trying to regain her lost energy. Damien finally walked in the room and his face held the look of surprise and shock.
Kara was unaware of his presence, so she remained in complete concentration.
‘Kara, Kara.’ Damien called. Kara remained quiet with her eyes closed. Damien stood a few steps away from her. A white light shone brightly and when the light dissipated Kara’s hair grew longer which passed her waist and was also white in colour, her wings turned completely white. Kara finally opened her eyes and stared down at Damien.
‘Why are you looking at me like that?’ Kara asked him.
‘Why do you look like this?’ Damien asked confused by her appearance.
‘What are you talking about?’ Kara asked and landed on the floor looking at Damien.
‘Look in the mirror.’ Damien answered. Kara walked towards the full-length mirror and her appearance shocked her as much as it shocked Damien.
‘What the hell is this?’ Kara said in disbelief.
‘You should tell me.’ Damien answered. Kara turned away from the mirror and suddenly her eyes turned completed white, and she fainted.
