Maria was standing in the doorway waiting for them. She was beyond happy when Luca called her and told her what was happening between him and Mila and, on top of that, Karen and Rocco were coming with them.
Luca pulled her in a tight hug, placing a kiss on top of her head.
"It is so good to be back home."
When he let her go, Maria caressed his cheek motherly and smiled at him. They talked about his plans, the contract and everything else. She was just hoping for the best to happen. Everything was uncertain, but one thing was for sure. Mila was the one for him.
Mila hugged her as soon as Luca let her go. She held her for a long time and Mila was glad that the old lady wasn't angry at her for escaping but somehow she felt that she understood her.
"Welcome back home."
