Chapter 5

935 Words
Mila blinked a few times while staring at the tall man in front of her. It took her a few moments to realize. His house? If this is his house, then that must be Mr Luca. That realization immediately sent shivers through her entire body, making her step back a bit more. When she touched the fridge with her back, she wished she could fade away from there, from the gaze of that man. Immediately, she remembered Maria's words. She told her to stay away from Mr Luca as much as possible and here she is. She shivered against her will but she lifted her head and tried to sound confident but not rude when she answered him. "I didn't know you were coming, Maria hasn't told me anything. Otherwise, I would stay in my room." He remained silent for a few moments before he turned around and disappeared in the dark of the house. Mila stayed there for a few more minutes trying to calm her breathing, afraid that he might be somewhere there in the dark waiting for her. When she finally got to her room, she closed and locked the door, staying awake for another hour. She didn't know why she was so shaken by encountering him, but for some reason she was afraid of him, but at the same time she couldn't wait to see how he looked, what he was like. When she finally closed her eyes, all she could see was the tall silhouette of the the intimidating Mr Luca and when she woke up in the morning she felt the lack of sleep. As soon as she opened her eyes she realized she had a really bad headache and even though she went straight into the shower, she didn't feel much better. She decided to put some effort into her appearance, believing it was going to help her feel better. She put on mascara, lipgloss and decided to add some concealer to hide her dark circles and some blush to bring back life to her cheeks. She picked a floral printed fluttery skirt with length right under her knees with a cut on her left side. It wasn't too big or too revealing. She paired it with a simple tight white shirt and white sandals. Before she walked out of her room, she sprayed some perfume and ran her fingers through her black hair. While walking downstairs she prayed to not find Mr Luca home today, but as soon as she walked into the kitchen she saw him. Usually the kitchen would be crowded in the morning with cooks, maids and guards, but it seemed like everyone vanished away when he came back home. Mila didn't know if it was the smartest thing to walk in there but she had to do her job so she walked in anyway. He was standing in front of the big balcony door looking somewhere outside, with his back turned to her. She used that moment to observe him a bit better. Very tall, muscular but fit, his black pants and white shirt suited him perfectly, hugging his body and she could see that he had brown hair, shorter on the sides and longer on the top of his head. Even though she wanted to look at him a bit more, she was afraid that he may turn around and find her staring at him, so she greeted him. " Good morning sir." He turned around slowly and looked at her and as soon as she saw his face she was stunned and sure that he is the most handsome and gorgeous man she has ever seen in her entire life. She swallowed the dumpling and looked away when he remained silent and kept looking at her. Moments before she wanted to move and walk out of the kitchen, he moved and approached her. His scent filled her nostrils but his appearance made her dizzy when she moved her gaze at his face. He raised one of his brows and locked his green eyes with hers, lifting one corner of his sensual lips in something similar to a smile. Mila's gaze went straight to his lips. The bottom was fuller than the upper one and they looked so kissable. She held her breath when he took one step more and now she had to lift her head even more to keep looking at him. He looks like one of those men from magazines. Her heart kept beating stronger and louder with every inch he got closer to her. "Luca." Mila blinked a few times, trying to understand him. He smiled one more time before he spoke again, coming even closer to her, forcing her to step back from him. He shocked her when he grabbed her by her hand's wrist and stopped her from moving back more from him. Mila tried to release her hand from his grip but he just tightened it. "My name is Luca. Say it." She was in such a state of shock that it took her a few moments to realize that they weren't alone anymore. "Luca!" When she saw that sweet old lady Maria, Mila wished to cry out of joy and even more when Luca released her hand from his grip and turned around to meet Maria's angry gaze directed to him. "Maria." His voice was filled with respect and softness when he called her and even though Maria seemed to be angry at him for some reason, a smile appeared on her face when he approached her with his arms spreader for a hug.
