“Yep, we even had the ring made”
I look at the sparkly diamonds on my finger, it was so damn pretty I couldn’t stop looking at it. My stomach was full of butterflies for the first time since I was a kid. I was finally able to be excited for tomorrow instead of being terrified of today. I felt free, it almost made me emotional.
“So what do you guys want to do?”
I ask them both as we settle into the car, Dexter clicks his tongue shaking his head
“Just gotta wait and see”
I watch as they both grin at each other quietly, I sigh falling back on the seat and I enjoy the drive lifting a smoke and lighting it up.
