7 Chapter seven; Anxiety
He wondered what his mum would do when she found out that her her beloved
trainee was a liar. Would she cancel their deal? Well, he would hope so because he
didn't want one person knowing his work and home schedule since he wasn't quite
sure if he would fire her.
He hated liars, especially the one who had to live in his house and help make his
dishes.
Joleen had informed The head chef of Mr. Wayne's new order, and she just sat by the
corner of the kitchen waiting for it to be ready.
She sat on a stool by the corner in the wide highly equipped kitchen. The kitchen was
wide and the floor was made of marbles. There were so many chambers and cabinets
in the wide kitchen, ten different meals could be made at once with how equipped the
massive cooking place was. She sat wallowed in her thoughts. Her hands and f
were cold and almost Shaky, she knew that was her anxiety kicking in, so she slightly
shook it off
She moved her hands to her lips, having a flash back of the previous event. She
recalled how close he was to her, how she didn't even mean to rival against his
closeness even though she did. Her hands against his hard muscles sent a little flicker
in her body
Why was she almost fantasizing over a second in her boss's embrace? Oh, the devil
was hard to resist and even the bible warned her!
I want you to serve me yourselt, she recalled his exact same words as she wondered
why.
The devil always has an agenda: she concluded. Why didn't he sack her right away for
lying? Would he terminate her deal with Venus?
A wave of anxiety went through her body as she sighed, letting out a deep breath
"What have I gotten myself into?" She murmured, adjusting herself on the stool. She
wore a black and brown striped overall miní skirt with a white t-shirt underneath.
Her anxiety had sent her exposed legs shivering, so she wrapped her hands over her
legs as her gaze caught the cute pinkish fury and Fluffy foot wear that she was
wearing
What is it that bothers you, pretty face? Madam Francisca must have noticed her
troubled self. she sat up and brushed up her expression.
'Nothing" she responded.
"Oh dear, everything will be fine, just know I will be here just in case you wanna talk
about it Francisca said before taking her attention back to the work at hand.
Madam Francisca was just the nicest person ever, she was a black plus size woman in
her middle fifties. Madam Francisca wasn't the only chef in the house, but she was her
favorite and she only had her work days with her.
She worked only four to five days a week, one day in and the next day out. So they
both had three days to four days off, in a week. The other chef who always took over
from them was also a female chef, but younger. She had a male assistant, Charles.
Charles was her friend and they were cool. They hung out a few times. Charles often
visited her room, but he doesn't stay in the mansion. He only came on his work days.
Charles was the one who got her the huge pinkish fluffy slides that she was currently
wearing on her last birthday.
"Pretty face, go get the servers, will you?" Joleen snapped out of her thoughts on
hearing that. It meant the food was ready.
"I will serve it, she said. Before she stood on her feet.
Maybe it was the huge fluftiy footwear, but her legs felt heavy. Or it was just her
thoughts weighing her down because the last time she checked, that footwear was
almost weightless even though its fluffyness made it appear huge.
"Are you sure about that?" Francisca asked, making a surprising face
"Pretty face, I think everyone in this house knows how much you hate to serve him:
she added as she still made a surprised expression.
Joleen didn't respond, she just moved to the rack, getting an appropriate tray to serve
the dishes in.
"Okay, if you are sure about it; Francisca said as she reached the sink, washing her
hands
Joleen arTanged the meal along with the oysters in the tray and took it up to his room.
He had his meal in his room eminently but mostly had in the dinner downstairs.
Her hands were shaky, but she took a little second to meditate before encouraging
her self to stay strong
It he wanted her gone, he could go on with it, but she wouldn't accept him taunting
her.
She knocked just once and she heard him instruct her to come in.
