This place is starting to resemble a picture gallery, thought Carl, as he stood in front of the section of the whiteboard with Peter Walker’s photo attached to it.
‘If you’ve read this morning’s paper, you’ll know the media are having a field day with this one. They seem to know as much about Peter Walker as we do. Someone’s told them about his predatory s****l behaviour in the workplace. They even have a picture of the woman that made a complaint against him and then settled out of court.’ Carl paused. ‘And, they’re painting us as the latest version of the Keystone Cops, so, as you can imagine, the Commissioner wants this case shut down with a conviction ASAP.’
