Carl took DC Wayne Paterson and SC Charlie Head with him to the offices of Spy and Fry, located on the second floor of the Walker Building in East Terrace, while Harry and DC Beard and two uniformed officers raided Gianni Imbroglio’s house in the suburbs.
When Harry’s text message arrived, confirming he was in place, Carl opened the door into the offices of Spy and Fry and the raid was on.
Gianni Imbroglio appeared startled by the arrival of three policemen, one obviously armed. ‘What’s going on?’
Carl noted the expensive suit, the gold rings on his fingers and the flash of gold beneath his sleeve where his watch was fastened to his wrist. ‘We’re here to search your office.’ Carl pulled the search warrant out of his inside coat pocket and handed it to Gianni.
