It was as she had predicted, her mother was already waiting for her. The only difference was there were two coffee cups on the table, not four. Margaret waved, as she entered the café. As Sally walked across to her she couldn't help noticing how strained she looked. She kissed her mother on the cheek. “Mum, are you feeling all right? You look a little off colour today.” “Yes, I'm fine. I'm getting over a cold that's all. Tell me, how're you getting on with the children? Are they being good?” “Yes, the children are adorable.” Sally looked at the coffee cups on the table. “Is the coffee still hot, or has it been there for an hour?” “We'd better order some more. It's been here for quite a while and the waiter keeps asking if anyone is coming or not.” Sally called the waiter over and asked
