Brown hair, brown eyes, sharp chin, and masculine… My father, Fritz Levi Wilson, was born in America in 2005. He was a masculine individual throughout all his past, even now. He prefered cold over heat, and he joined the military as a doctor and soon moved to America. He then changed his name to his middle name, Levi, for an unknown reason to Victor, Valerie, and I. While stationed here, he met my mother. Red hair, silver eyes, and slim figure, my mother, Vivian Faye Wilson, was born in the Netherlands. She, like my father, soon changed her name to Saige. Tall figure, thin lips, platinum hair, and almost black eyes, my older brother, Victor Liam Wilson, was the first born child. Followed by me, Noah Vincent Wilson. Then finally my younger sister Valerie Julia Wilson. She has pastel pink hair, almost white eyes, and was to my shoulder.
My father was diagnosed with this disorder called ‘Alexithymia’. It’s the inability to feel emotions. It’s also hereditary, passed down through many generations. The chance that it would be passed down is not slim. Because of that, as soon as we were born we all got tested. No surprise, it got passed down to me. Victor, my older brother, was not diagnosed, but he wasn't normal either. He wasn’t crying when he was born and right afterwards his eyes shot open. Then, my younger sister Nash, well… Her story's more complex, so it'll be explained later on. When I went in the hospital for my yearly appointment a couple months ago, the doctor told me that I have a slight chance of developing Schizoid. Schizoid and alexithymia are very similar. However, schizoid focuses more on the negative effects of the schizophrenia. And for those who ask, Schizophrenia is where you might have disorganized thoughts and might hear voices in your head. It’s mostly hereditary, but it can be developed if you already have either one, schizofrenia, or two, alexithymia. Victor was born first, he’s currently seventeen being a senior, I’m sixteen being a sophomore, and if Nash was alive, she’d be fourteen being an eighth grader. Nash died a year ago. She was diagnosed with Melanoma skin cancer. Her symptoms started a year before she died. She started getting very unusual moles and rashes. After we took her to the doctors, they told us she had cancer. They told her she had a couple weeks to live, she ended up living a year thankfully, but then it got worse. When we took her to the doctor for another month check-up, she died almost on the spot.
We held her funeral a month after that day, we invited a couple people. Mostly my grandparents and my aunt. We held it in our backyard, since we live in a house surrounded by trees. Our neighbors live a couple miles away from us and we live in a two story house. It’s all cream white except for the roof and the shades. They’re a shade of dark blue. As you walk in, the stairs are right in front of you, the living room to the left, the dining room to the right, and the kitchen behind the stairs to the left of the dining room, or to the right of the living room. If you walk up the stairs and turn left, the first door to your left is the master bedroom, across from that was the infirmary, then Nash’s room, but now it’s an art room. If you turn right of the stairs, the first door to you're right is my room and Victor’s is across from mine. The bathroom is in front of the stairs and there’s also one in the master bedroom. We have a cream carpet throughout our entire house except from the bathroom and kitchen. They both have fake wood.
Our mom enrolled us in a private school that specializes in art. I’ve been going there since I was six. At that time, I found out a lot of things that changed my future for good… I met this girl named Paige in second grade. We instantly hit it off, playing in the playground and lending each other crayons. When we when into middle school, I started talking about her more and more. Victor paid little attention to me until it came to Paige. She spiked his interest I guess.
One day our dad, like always, had to go to a meeting. Since he said he would arrive home early today. After school, we went to his workplace. He walked out the doors, but right before we went to retreat him, he walked up to a woman. We followed him all the way up to a restaurant and we watched until they went ahead and ordered. After about ten minutes, an elderly lady came with a child in her hand. After some close examination, I soon realized that was Paige. Paige was with my dad, that was eating with a lady that wasn’t my mom, in an elderly ladies hand… Though, it didn’t really matter to me. Not back then, or now. I remember Victor’s face very vividly though. He was very… very aggravated at that moment… Probably the most he’s ever been. Or if it isn’t, it’s the most aggravated I’ve ever seen him. We walked home very silently that night. I choose not speak since I like the silence, but Victor doesn't. It was also probably the most quiet I’ve ever seen him be… It felt… Well… I don’t really know.
We never told mom, but I had a feeling that she knew from the beginning… I don’t know. Maybe she caught on when she asked Victor and I where we had went that day and Victor got really flustered and told a terrible lie. Mom’s a very calm and collected person for having disabled children. She never treats us any different from anyone else. In fact, the school we go to doesn’t even mind. Then again, neither do I, but I can’t describe feelings so…
My life in general is, no… was, pretty boring… Yeah, my sister died, and yeah, my family has disorders, but I’ve lived quite a normal life. Well… other than the fact that I can see ghosts, that is… weird indeed. I can see the supernatural… Yeah, they’re not even rare. As far as I know, I am the only person who can… Um… There are many types of supernatural beings. The most common are ghosts and spirits. There are also werewolves, vampires, time travelers, angels, and demons. As far as I know, there aren’t any more. Of course there are different subtypes from the main, most commonly known, types. All in all… The supernatural, except for ghosts and spirits which are invisible, look exactly like humans. Of course, they do all come with their hidden traits. Their advantages, and disadvantages just aren't that easy to spot as in the previous years. Vampires can’t get tan, they just sunburn. They don’t crave blood anymore, they just need energy. Basically… When a vampire touches a human, they taste a flavor like chicken, or ham. After they get enough energy, the human’s energy is drained, though they don’t die. Then there’s werewolves. A werewolf's hair grows much faster than a human’s and they can communicate to any wolf species, including dogs. A ghost is invisible for the most part. You might feel an aura, like a certain scent from a family, or friend, that’s died. You can’t get possessed, and you also can’t catch hem on camera. A spirit is similar in a way. Since a ghost is someone who died with regrets, a spirit a someone who has a family member who regrets they died. They can leave at anytime really, but because of the person who refuses to accept that they’ve died… It makes it harder to leave.
Now, to sum this up, Time travelers, well…. They’re pretty self explanatory. They usually get major mirains and might even suffer from temporary blindness if they travel through time too much. Angels are also pretty self explanatory. They’re also very hard to spot. They do kindness in the shadows and usually hold very small jobs. On the other hand, Demons are very easy to spot. They hold very high position jobs and do mischief in the shadows.
Finally, even though I don’t really count this type, there is my time. The supernatural type who can see other ones. Now that everything is finally explained, little fun fact, supernaturals cannot see each other. Yes, they can see their own species, but they cannot see all the others. Example, a vampire cannot see, or sense, if the person next to them is a werewolf.
I think I found all this out by the time I was seven, maybe…? I guess I always knew, kinda.... It’s hard to explain. Because I can’t feel any emotions, I wasn’t surprised, or shocked. I’ve never felt scared, or regretted something I did. I do feel all five senses though it’s hard to tell. But it’s not as hard as telling someone whether I’m happy, or mad. Actually, as far as I feel, I’ve never felt happy or sad. I can feel pain and pleasure. I just don’t feel it off of smells, or sounds. Physical contacts is required.
Throughout school people found it the weirdest thing in the beginning when I wouldn’t ever smile, or frown. After a while though, it was very normal to them. The new people that would show up periodically would eventually know why, even though the truth had been stretched out and added to. For the seldon who didn’t care though, I would be known as the kid with the poker face. In our school, many people have disabilities. Harmless, but ‘freaky’ to the people who care. We come off as overly protective, or always with our guards up. Since most of the children here lived terrible lives before this school as what we consider ‘Outsiders’. They tend to have a tough exterior shell, though they are kind eventually. Thankfully… My mother brought me to this school before I was registered in a public school. Same with my brother and well… my sister.
As the years passed by, some longer than others, I got quite popular with a lot of people. I would get pulled out of lunch, to the library, and get confessed to. Plus, I’ve even tried to date someone to see if I could develop feeling for them. Well, it didn’t work out.
Throughout the passing years, I kept to myself. No one knew the fact that I can see the supernatural. I never talked about my personal life, or my likes and dislikes. No one knew anything about me… Keyword, ‘knew’. Before this year, I had one friend that knew a couple things about me. That was Paige. And even though I grew more popular in the more recent years, she still didn’t spend much time with me. Now, our relationship consists of copying homework, lending each other food, and walking to school together. We talk quite a bit when we get together, but we have our own separate friend groups. While I’m in the semi popular boys group. She’s in the semi popular girls group. And while other than gender our groups sound the same, we’re not. Paige is big into acting and sports. She plays the violin and guitar in band. She plays hockey and basketball, too. She prefers horror movies over romance movies, and she loves spicy and sweet foods.
She has platinum hair with black highlights, and she prefers to wear legging, high heels, and earrings over jeans, converse, and hats. She also has a disability like everyone else, she’s been diagnosed with D.I.S. Dissociative Identity Disorder. Basically, she has a switch personality She’s usually Luca, her main personality. Black hair, yellow eyes, Luca also prefers to wear leggings, but he like legging, oversized t-shirts, and tennis shoes. He’s shy and quite self conscious. We talk a lot though. He’s not big into sports and he’s very sensitive. Now, when Paige does sports, she has Anya. White blond hair, very fit, Anya like wearing sport bras, yoga pants, and tennis shoes. She also almost always puts her hair into a ponytail. She’s very active, and she’s not afraid to speak her mind. Then there’s Violet. Dark purple hair, red eyes, I've never seen, seen her, but Paige tells me about her. Apparently she’s the dark side of Paige. She’s very depressed, and suffers from severe anxiety. Paige has even told me that she’s suicidal. Finally, there’s Aaron. Older look, light brown hair, light blue eyes, Aaron has an overall look that makes him look like a father. He's the most active, giving Paige advise and all, he just doesn’t come out like the other do. He prefers staying in the shadows. He’s her father figure that she didn’t have throughout her lifetime. Since her father was abuse and an alcholist, Aaron gave her the advice she never learned from him.
Luca comes out the most. During her walks, and when she’s at home. I’m probably the closest to him then all the others. Since unlike Paige, I don’t like sports, I don’t get along with Anya. I probably wouldn’t get along with Violet since I don’t understand over emotional people. And Aaron very rarely fully comes out.
Why I mean by that is, there are three ways to 'Come Out’ from what Paige tells me and whatever I seen. The first way is just to Speak to tell person in charge. Let's say Paige is in the spotlight, the first way to come out is if let's say Aaron starts talking to her, but she's still in the spotlight. The second way to come out is to look like Paige, but act like… well, you. In similar terms, Luca has the spotlight, but he still looks like Paige other than changing hat he wears to fit his personality better. The last, and third, way is to fully take the spotlight. Basically, if Violet gets the ok to take the stage, she can have a full body transformation to look identical to what she did before she died.
Topic change, I, on the other hand, am the literal opposite of Paige. I have dark brown hair and prefer relaxing rather than working out. I don’t play sports, but I do love taking walks through our backyard and beaches. I prefer wearing ankle hugging jeans, or sweatpants, with an oversized sweater and sport shoes. I, also unlike Paige, prefer cooking full out meals, not instant, but they do opposites attract. Well, enough about the me before, let’s talk about the me now.
