Riven
It was at breakfast when I heard the first rumor, whispered across the table while the eggs were still steaming. I paused with the spoon in my mouth, the taste of greek yogurt on my tongue as I heard it.
“Kayn has a new girl.” One of the more popular pack members whispered, the gossip too juicy to not share with her best friend.
Everyone was buzzing with this news, the excitement lingered as they began wondering how long she would last. Everyone in the pack knew how this would end, she would be discarded before the week is out. No one could hold up to the standards that Kayn had for his toys, except me. Somehow I had surpassed the expectations of the rumor mill.
No one was taking bets on how long I would last.
“She will be discarded before four days, I bet my entire week's wage on it.”
“I give her a week.”
The two exchanged deals in the doorway to the kitchen. I looked up, seeing two of the cooks whispering to each other.
A hush came over the breakfast hall, and I looked up to see a young girl. She couldn’t be more than eighteen. Kayn would enjoy breaking her in.
Her olive skin was flushed with excitement, believing that being chosen by our alpha was an honor. She held her chin high as she was paraded past, her long red hair cascading in waves behind her. She was short, petite, and just how Kayn liked.
She will bleed by morning.
I expected Senna’s agreement, but she was eerily quiet. I returned to my breakfast, remembering how much I missed my wolf, but hoping that she would return soon.
The next two days blurred by, and I got to enjoy some time to myself as Kayn broke in his new favorite. The sounds of s****l bliss came from the Alpha’s quarters during those two days, followed by the sounds of pained cries. The rumor mill was spinning and soon I was hearing the sounds of crying and a whip meeting flesh coming from the closed Alpha’s room.
It was mid-afternoon when a guard appeared in the gym. I had been working on my flexibility, taking the time to strengthen my sore muscles, stretching them out despite the pain. My hair was swept over my face when he cleared his throat. I glanced at him.
“Alpha Graves requests your presence.” The new girl was gone, or Kayn wouldn’t have been summoning me to his office.
“His office or bedroom?”
“Office.” The guard's tight answer gave nothing away from Kayn's mood.
“Alright.” I stepped towards the door, falling into step behind the guard, whose name I think is Kevin? Everyone was too preoccupied with their own chores to notice that I was being walked to the Alpha’s office. It would have started the rumor mill again, everyone would be wondering where the new girl was.
If Kayn’s patterns were kept, she wouldn’t be seen again. She was taken to her room earlier, walking by my room. I knew she was alright, likely exhausted from the ordeal that she went through with Kayn.
The trek up to Kayn’s office took only a few minutes. When I entered, I was surprised to see he wasn’t alone. Inside the office was a messenger and the beta of the pack, Mason Reid. Kyle, who had beaten me up a few days ago, looked like a smaller version of his brother. The same muscular shoulders, hair color and eyes. Unlike Kyle, Mason’s eyes were kind but cold.
“Riven, come.” Kayn gestured to me.
As I walked around the desk to him, he gestured to the floor. With a practiced grace of the years I spent in his care, and in his bed. I knew what he wanted without him even needing to say it. Everyone in this room knew why he called me, and there was no reason to hide what I was here to do.
I unzipped his pants, being careful as I removed his d**k and began to gently rub his length. It was as impressive as it felt inside of me, the length not too long, but just long enough to hit the sweet tender spot inside of me. It wasn’t too thick that I couldn’t fit it inside of me or in my mouth.
My tongue flicked out to suckle on the tip as I quietly worked and listened to the conversation. “Take this scroll to the Moon Stone pack. We won’t get involved in their war.” Kayn said as he tangled his fingers in my hair. He roughly pulled me forward, forcing me to take his length in my mouth.
He grew hard as I bobbed my head up and down, his length extending to touch the back of my throat as I was careful to suppress my gag reflex.
Meanwhile, the shuffling of footsteps told me that the messenger had left, leaving Kayn and me alone with Mason. The sloppy sound of what I was doing to Kayn filled the air as I moved faster, my saliva as lubricant allowing Kayn to slide in and out of my mouth easier.
“Mason,” Kayn groaned as I continued my work. Mason had the good sense to be quiet about what was happening, as always. “Arrange for the flight for Poppy to the school in Canada, and put her file with the others.”
“Yes, sir.”
“You may go. I’d like to be alone with Riven, and do not let anyone disturb us.”
“Yes, sir.”
Mason’s retreat out of the office was quick, the door shutting with a thud that echoed around the room. Kayn leaned back in his chair as I worked, allowing me to continue for only a moment or two longer.
“Ride me.” He ordered. I started taking off my yoga pants, leaving the rest of my attire on, but something in the way Kayn was looking at me made me pause. “Take all of it off, my beautiful w***e. I want to see all of you.”
I gulped, the saliva in my throat almost making me choke as I wondered what he had in store for me today.
I stripped off my clothes, leaving them in a pile at the edge of the desk. I was bare in front of Kayn for the first time in maybe a year, and he looked stressed at whatever situation had him sending a messenger to Moon Stone. I didn’t know anything about the war that he spoke of, but I knew enough.
Straddling his lap, his hard d**k prodded my entrance. Kayn didn’t help as I slid him into my v****a with years of practice. The only thing he did was keep a rough, bruising grip on my waist to keep me steady.
The sensations were enough to make me gasp as I started bouncing on him, the pleasure beginning to build in my middle. I grasped the edges of his chair, keeping myself steady despite his grip on my hip. If Kayn’s patterns were anything to go by, I wouldn’t be the one in control for much longer.
“Faster.”
His order was sharp, not up for debate as I bounced on him faster. My thighs slapping against his made a smacking sound around the room.
He groaned and grunted as his other hand grasped my hip on the other side, matching the initial intensity. He rose from his chair, lifting me up in the process, taking all of the control from me. I wasn’t going at the pace he wanted.
He slammed my body against the nearest wall, his pictures and diploma’s shuddering against the force as he slammed his d**k into me repeatedly with the leverage he now had. His grip moved to my inner thighs, the weight of his chest holding my body against the wall as he rested his head in my neck.
His nails dug into my flesh, and I cried out from the sharp, biting pain, but I wouldn’t complain. I learned a long time ago that complaining didn’t do anything. It always made it worse.
I zoned out as he took me, my body rolling in waves of pleasure. I didn’t even know I had orgasmed until he growled in annoyance at my pleasure. His nails dug deeper into my thighs and I gasped sharply as he bit into the flesh just under my marking spot. Despite being in the wrong spot, the pleasure that ripped through me caused me to shake as I screamed from the pleasure.
He was claiming me as his.
The realization had me frozen, my body reacting to his actions as he growled into my neck. He quickly finished, his thrusts sharp and intense as he finished inside of me.
“You are dismissed, whore.” He said as he dropped me, literally.
I nearly collapsed onto the floor as I struggled to stay upright, my neck sore from where he bit me. I dressed on staggering legs, and left before he could change his mind.
Back in my room, I looked in the mirror. The bite was ugly, deeper than I had realized. It was turning an ugly shade of purple, and I looked down to realize that the blood had dried on my thighs. The claw marks he caused would scar, and so would the bite. I felt the tears pricking behind my eyes.
Senna?
Nothing. She abandoned me, or at least suppressed herself so that she could be pure, or more pure than I am for our mate.
If we ever got out of here to find him. I thought sourly.
Instead of curling up in the plush bed that Kayn provides for me, I moved a pillow and the blanket to the floor. It was all I deserved, and all I needed.
The next week was uneventful. The pack stared at the bite that was left on my neck, and they should. It was out of the ordinary. The warriors sneered at me during training, and the omega’s just laughed, happy that none of them were the subject of Kayn’s affection.
The red haired girl, Poppy Kayn had said her name was, and I passed in the hallway only a handful of times. Her eyes were swollen from crying the last time I saw her, and her hands were shaky. I turned to watch her, feeling like she deserved a friend, but when I saw the blood streaks through the shirt she wore, I knew she was hopeless.
Before the week was out, Poppy was gone. I knew she was sent somewhere in Canada, and the way Kayn had spoken it sounded like she wasn’t the first. I had no clue what that school entailed, but it was another lover that Kayn had gotten rid of by his brutality. The rumors were already starting on what happened to her. The warriors were speculating that Kayn had killed her like he had his former chosen lunas, and that her body was buried in the forest.
The eyes lingered on me now, knowing I was the only one to survive him.
“She’s the only one left. He has had countless lovers and lunas, but yet she remains.”
“I think she likes that she is the only one left.”
“Want to bet that she will be the Alpha’s b***h forever?”
I scoffed, careful not to let the whispered words bother me too much. I was the only one who knew how to survive him, and all the other girls never thought enough of me to ask.
I could have helped them, but maybe once he finds his next Luna, I will help her.
I silently vowed that another ranking Luna wouldn’t die in the Ice Howlers while she lived. Now Kayn just had to pick one, and hopefully it wasn’t her.
