A Growing Vengeance

My training with Lord Enzo continued as the snow began to fall. I've been meditating under the cold weather for over three days now, and I haven't been able to master it. I haven't got any food with me since I came here, and he told me that I will provide myself with my own food by hunting, and there's no chance that he'll give me something from his tent made by the servants from Olympus. He's trying to freeze me to death. It doesn't even look like a tent, because it is so big, and there are appliances and furniture inside. He lives like royalty, while I make use of what's in the forest, and hunt animals to cook. Yesterday, I got deeper into the woods, then there were angry gorillas that chased me away. There are even raccoons that stole my cooked fish. All the time even I was walking, I meditated out of habit. I am on the boulder, meditating, while he ate a cake behind me. The smell of it really destroys my concentration. I feel that he is doing this on purpose. I discovered that it is so hard to control what I think, and I have no idea what is the sign that I mastered it, so I asked him. "Lord Enzo, what is the sign that I mastered living in the present?" I asked while continuing to meditate. "You're not thinking about the past and the future, obviously." He is so straight forward that I learned nothing from what he said because it is so obvious. So I just continued to concentrate on meditating. "Ouch!" I said in pain as a stone hit me in the head. I turned around to see who threw that, and I don't know why I wondered who that is. "What was that for?" "I thought you were meditating," he said. "I guess you're not." I turned around to get back to what I am doing while frowning. What's his deal? Nevermind... Come on.... Focus! - * In a volcanic island that just recently surfaced in the middle of the vast tropical ocean to the Far East of the Olympus Capital, a young girl full of blood on her black long hair, that dripped down to her dark armor, and down to her feet, got off from a yacht. The hull and the deck of the yacht were full of blood, flesh, and guts with hundreds of swords impaling some of the corpses. Flies began to infest the deck. The wave splashed against the rocky shore, and some lavas were hissing as they flowed to the sea. The blood dripping from her, dries up in the instant it falls on the hot igneous rocks. She walks with her shoulder slouched in fatigue and drags her feet as she walks deeper inland. She drags her b****y katana on the ground while she stops the bleeding of her right wounded arm using her left hand. She muttered, "I will... I will kill him..." She climbed an ascending ground until she found a cliff. There is a river of lava just before and below her feet, and the blazing hot air rises up from it like a furnace. There are solid pillars of volcanic rocks rising from below the lava, and one man stood on one of them. He stood on the middle-most pillar. He wore a black suit and a golden mask with horns. "You will pay for what you've done!" she screamed. "Unfortunately," he said with his hands behind his back. "I don't feel like paying for it." "Arghhhhh!" she screamed as she waved her hand violently, and hundreds of blades came right out of it that flew towards him. The blades were a mix of knives, swords, cutters, and anything that is called a blade. The man got rid of them with a simple wave of his hand that created a shock wave that blew them away. Then the girl came flying towards him while holding her sword in both hands above her head. She sliced downward, but the man dodged just in time to his left. The pillar he came from was sliced down to its base until it collapsed. She was about to fall down into the fiery chasm when she summoned a very wide sword. It flew, she rode it and followed where the man jumped to. He landed on another pillar, and she charged to his direction with the tip of the sword she rode pointing to him. She jumped off, and the big sword flew on its own towards the man. He jumped to dodge it, but she pointed her finger up, and the sword pulled upwards. He punched it with his solid fist and it shattered into pieces. While he is in mid-air, she already summoned a hundred swords around her that pointed towards him. She put her hands forward and the swords came flying towards him at a speed in which the blades pierced the pillars until they dived into the lava. The man used his bare hands to deflect the blades as if his hands are made of steel. He landed safely without a scratch on another pillar, while she stood on her own far from him. Her power is exhausted. "You're a dangerous goddess, indeed," he said. "A goddess without a worshiper, but slaughtered a hundred of my demigods. Goddess of Blades, you should join my guild." "Die!" she screamed as she threw a spear to him. He dodged and she kneeled on the ground, because of exhaustion. That throw could be the last ounce of her strength. "Oh dear," he said. "You are completely wasted. If I was you, I would stop right there, and join me." "My mother! My sister!" "Oh, those ladies? They were very unfortunate, but it can't be helped. Changing this realm requires sacrifice. It just happens that they belong to the sacrificed." "I will sacrifice you to the depths of hell myself!" "To the underworld? Nahhh, the Goddess of Death is still a little girl." "Stop screwing around!" He looked serious and said, "Fine!" He punched the pillar where he stood, and the impact was so great that it caused everything to shake. Then the river of lava erupted like a volcano. He jumped off and to the solid land away from the river of lava where two of his allies stood. "She could've been useful to us," said the man with a silver mask. "I know," said the golden. "but she is upset about the death of her family." "Well, what a waste," said the man with the bronze mask. "You need to do something about your patience." "I can't help it," said the golden. "I was just born with a hate of wasting time." "Well, that's that, then," said the silver, and walked away to somewhere. The golden man followed, but the bronze looked at the erupting lava for another second. He looked at it and turned his back to leave with the others below. There are thousands of people with different masks, and cheering for the one who wears the golden. "My friends!" he said loudly. "We haven't even started, and look at what we achieved!" They cheered loudly. "It's all thanks to you, my wonderful allies! To bring forth justice and equality, this guild was born! The masks we wear are the symbols of equality between humans, demigods, and gods! We don't need to be separated by walls, because we are all one in the eyes of the God of All! Praise him!" They cheered. The man continued: "I am humble before him as all of you are, so I am merely a tool for him to do what he commands! He is pure and good! He is our savior! He is.... THE GOD OF ALL!!!" The roar of the volcano was defeated by the roar of the men. The wind blew hard as the man with the golden mask stood proud. Never did they know, that the girl survived by using her katana to anchor herself on the cliffside while enduring the hot air coming from below. In the last moment that she was about to die, her will gave her strength to use her powers once more to push her away from the blazing hot lava, and to where she is now. She is right below the three men standing over the cliff, and she decided to fight another day. She frowned with the fire in her eyes, brighter than the fiery chasm below. She growled, "I swear my soul will not be in peace until I get my revenge..." * - I am meditating. That's it, meditating. I am closing my eyes, and I feel my own heat. I feel the pulse on my neck, face, wrists, and chest. I feel the blood flowing in my veins. I hear the footsteps of a man. I hear the songs of birds and the sound of which their wings make as they flap. I feel every snow that falls down on the ground and on my head. The movement of everything, the branches, the animals, and even Lord Enzo somehow makes these kinds of vibrations in the air. Then I felt the vibration of a stone. I hear how it disturbs the stillness of the air around it. It is moving. From where? I hear the breath of Lord Enzo coming from the left, so I ducked forward, and got back to my position while meditating. I hear the stone hit the rocky ground to the right. One, two, and three bounces until it rattles into a state of stillness. I feel... good just breathing. It feels good to breathe. I hear the lips of Lord Enzo and he says, "Excellent." I opened my eyes and my meditation is over. "You mastered meditating in just one week." "A week?" I asked because I don't what he is talking about. "It felt like five days." "Exactly, it's because you don't think of the past and the future that you don't count the time because counting time requires you to look to the past. You also focused on your own senses that you managed to dodge my attack without looking. It requires that kind of focus. Well done, my pupil." "Alright!" I said in excitement as I put my fist in the air. Then my stomach growled. "I'm hungry." "You can have my cake inside." "Wohooo!"
