A New Fire

We went back to the Academy by a speedboat after that crazy test Lord Enzo gave us. Sander and Philip prepared their things because there's no need to stay in this academy anymore. We are advised to find a mentor to train us extensively, and come back after three months for the tournament - that is springtime. We woke up early in the morning to leave. I am finished packing my things. "So," said Sander while I waited for them to finish. "do you guys already have mentors?" He is finding a solution to his "space" problem, while Philip is almost done, while I sat on the bed. "My uncle said that he will train me," said Philip. "He's the brother of my father, so they learned the same technique he mastered." "That's awesome," said Sander. "How about you, Sander?" he asked. "My mother will train me. And I gotta tell, it's gonna be painful." "Oh, right. Your mother is scary." "You said it..." "How about you, Leo?" I am hesitant to tell them because I am not yet sure about it, but they eagerly waited for my answer. "We'll help you find a mentor if you'd like," said Philip. I decided that I will tell them. "I am not yet sure," I said. "but Lord Enzo told me yesterday that he will train me at the training grounds this noon." They looked at me and stopped what they are doing. "You're serious?" asked Philip. "Yeah, but-" "Oh dude!" said Sander in excitement. "That's awesome! Having Lord Enzo as your mentor.... It's just mind-blowing! Damn, I am jealous. Why didn't you tell us?" "Yeah," added Philip. "I just thought that it would be bragging if I did." "No, we know you, you don't brag about anything, but except when it comes to how cute your sister is." "I don't know if that's a compliment or an insult," I said. "But just thinking about Lord Enzo training you," said Sander. "Man... I can't describe the feeling, because he's the strongest demigod, and everybody looks up to him." "But he didn't say anything about him being my mentor. He just said that he will train me." "It's the same thing!" they both said to me. "If you say so," I said when they finished packing. Then we went out of the room. We will not be coming back here anymore. "I promise when I get back, I will be stronger than now!" "Yeah, me too!" said Sander as he put his fist forward, so I bumped my fist against his. "Okay, I will too," said Philip as he joined us. "We'll meet each other in three months!" said we. - * The sun shines on Olympus very bright in the morning. For it is high up above the clouds. The wind is always moving, and it is cool and fresh. The glossy palace of Olympus has its golden walls shining like mirrors against the sun. One goddess woke up in a room, awoken by the bright light. The white bed is very big, and what's even impressive, is the room itself. The room is filled with light as the jewels, and silver walls reflected it. The walls are already magical that the paintings seem to be alive and moving. The cloud painting in the ceiling looked like it is real as it moves like one. Even the animals looked like they were alive. Once you take a look at their eyes, it's almost as if they reflect your stare. There are also moving grasses, leaves, and trunks of trees for the pleasure of the eyes. The God of Art really made his wonders in creating these kinds of paintings throughout the palace. Danae, the goddess who just woke up, is looking at the wide balcony where the light came from. She sees the silhouette of her lover, sitting on the chair, and drinking his coffee on the table as he gazed at the vast sky. She smiled after seeing him there first thing in the morning. Seeing him looking relaxed, makes her feel relaxed too. She stood up and went to the balcony. She wore a very loose, and long dress, almost as if it is just a simple fabric, but in fact, it is made out of silk made out of clouds - made for the goddesses and gods of Olympus. She walked, and the dress flowed like water from the bed and onto the fine floor. It flowed without resistance. Enzo is topless as he had this deep thought on his mind while he sips his coffee. Danae embraced him from the back and kissed his neck. The deep thought was gone, and he puts his coffee on the table. He acted stoically. "What are you thinking about?" she asked. "Things," he replied. "Really?" "Mhmm," he nodded. They didn't talk for a couple of seconds, but she kept embracing him while he sipped his coffee. She let go and Enzo pulled the chair beside him using his feet so she could sit easily, but instead she sat on his lap. He was still holding his coffee and he struggled to not let it get spilled. She giggled, as she put her arms around him and lied her head on his chest. "Now, how am I gonna drink my coffee?" he asked calmly. "You think that this coffee is more delicious than me?" "You-" She laughed. "I'm just kidding." They didn't say anything some time, and then she almost fell asleep. That's when she said, "The weather is good, isn't it?" He sniffed at her hair without her knowing and said, "Mhmm," he agreed while closing his eyes. "How could it not? For you commanded it to be." "There are things I can't command in this world... like you." She looked at him in the eyes, but he averted. "You need need to be seduced." She laughed very hard and Enzo looked like he was offended. "I am kidding! I am kidding! I'm sorry," she whispered. Then again, there was a moment of silence. She looked at where Enzo is looking, and that's to the east. "So," she said. "you are gonna be the mentor of that child." He nodded. "You have a good eye. His words are as true as his will." She got off from his lap and sat properly on the other chair. "He kind of reminds me of you when we were still young." He looked at her and was a little interested in what she said. He sipped his coffee and said, "Really?" "Yes," she said while three fairies brought her her own tea. "Thank you," she thanked them. "Have you forgotten what kind of child you were?" "Maybe." "Well, it was years ago, I can't blame you, but I'm really surprised that you suddenly took him as your apprentice. Is it because of Father?" He shook his head, swallowed the coffee he sipped, and said, "He's got nothing to do with it." "I see," she said while smiling and looking to the side. "You and your sisters saw something in him too. That was my cue in thinking that it would be a good idea to take him in." "Yeah, it would be a waste to let that bright fire be extinguished," she said and he nodded. "And I can tell that you see the fire you once had in him too." He didn't respond for a while after that. "It is just that growing up is when you give up on a dream," he said. "but realize a new dream as you grow up. Your father is a visionary, and I want to make his visions into reality." "You are more like a child of my father than I am." He looked her in the eyes. "Don't say that. He loves you three more than anything in this universe." "Alright, alright..." He grabbed her hand while they looked at the view. * - "What's taking him so long?" I said to myself waiting under a tree beside the crater. He said before noon! BEFORE NOON! And it's already two! I am starting to think that he didn't mean what he said yesterday. Maybe he changed his mind because he realized that I am just a pathetic human that passed only because of his friends. Could be. But then I heard a zooming sound from the sky, and Enzo landed in front of me. Dust and rocks hit me in the face, so I coughed. He wore his usual warrior's outfit. "Alright, kid. Let's start your training," he said while I noticed that he has a red lipstick mark above his lips. What the hell did he do before coming here?
