Tiny the Bull!!!

1739 Words
"Ahhhh!" we screamed. We ran through the tall grasses fast, without looking back. "We're gonna die!" screamed Sander as he ran faster than the two of us, and he discovered an electric fence. I should know because there is a sign that this is an electrical fence. It is higher than us, so going over it means electrocution. "Stop!" I said as we followed behind him. "It is an electrical fence! What are we gonna do?" We looked back, but we can't see the bull. "Jump, of course!" said Philip. "What?" I asked. "This high? I can't jump that high!" "Oh, just-" he said while lifting me up by holding my waist. He threw me up, and to the other side of the fence. "Ahhhh!" I screamed. In mid-air, I saw the bull on the other side of the fence that we thought was safer. "No! no, no, no, no, no, NO!" I said many times, but the two of them already jumped in. The bull is somewhere here, but we cannot see it. "The bull is here!" I whispered. "What?" said Sander. "You're not making any sense. The bull was on the other side." "No, I really saw it!" We looked at the other side of the fence, and a cow showed itself to us. It was just a regular cow. We also sneaked to see if the other one really is the bull. I felt nervous about this, but I cleared the tall grasses to see it. It was just a normal cow too. "Phew!" we all said. "I thought we were dead meat!" said Sander while panting. "So, should we go back to the other side of the fence?" I asked. "I don't know," said Philip. "but that side is where that bull lurks. What do you guys say? Here or that side? "Here," we said. We continued to walk to the north, where Philip's home he said was. I felt assured that he knows where he is going because he knows this place better than us. We also figured out that we entered a private property. A cow farm, to be exact, and the owner might know the bull on the loose. At last, we saw a barn in the middle of a vast field with low grass. There are hundreds of cows around it, all surrounded by electric fences. The cows just let us pass while munching their grass. I feel uncomfortable, as they kept looking at us while we pass. We went to the front of the barn, and we saw two grownups. An old woman and an old man. We think they are a couple. The old woman is wearing a dress for doing barn-things, and so did the old man. "Excuse me," said Philip. The couple turned toward us. "Sorry that we trespassed your property because we were chased by a bull." "Oh my gods!" said the old woman. "Tiny chased these poor little children?" She looked at our dirty faces, and we anxious that she will smell our odor. "Tiny?" we asked. "It's the name of that big bull on the loose," said the old man. "My daughter and son tried to look for him for two days now, but they returned without a sight of him. Where did you find him?" "At the stone bridge," said Philip and told the whole story of what happened until we got here. He also told them that he was chased by the same bull a week ago. "So you never saw him again after what happened on the bridge... I'll call the two to look around the bridge. May I leave you, children, for a moment?" We nodded, and the woman talked to us. "Call us, Mr. and Mrs. Wilson," she said. "nice to meet you-" "Sander," he said. "Leo," I said. "Philip," he said. "How did the bull became loose?" "Oh, he busted himself out from the cage with his enormous strength, and the electric fence can't stop him with his thick hide. Tiny is a special kind of bull. He is bred to become a bull in a bullfight in the land far to the west, way outside our districts. It was fifteen years ago when we took a vacation at the land of humans far to the east. We entered this arena that they said the bullfights were held. We saw this large bull charging towards a human with no weapons, but a piece of fabric. We were amazed by the bull's size and decided to find some breeders so that we could buy one. Eventually, we found Tiny while he's still young and a lot smaller, but not young enough that needs milk from his mother. My husband and I brought him here to his new home. Tiny is a gentle creature, and my firstborn son, Dave is always playing with him on the fields. One day, my son entered the Academy and graduated. He had to leave, and serve the gods, leaving Tiny alone all these years. Dave is still alive, and we call him from time to time, but the gentle bull turned into a grumpy one. I think he just wants to find Dave and play with him again, but he is just a lonely animal with no way to find Dave. Tiny tried to approach other kids, but they were scared of him." "That's sad," said Sander. I think it is sad too. "Philip, Leo, and Sander," she said. "would you like to have yourselves take a nice, and proper bath?" We sniffed ourselves, and we put a face of disgust. "Yes please," we said. Mrs. Wilson took us to the bathroom of her house, while her husband is calling their daughter and son on the phone. It is kinda unusual that demigods also use the same technology we humans use, considering that they are much more superior than us. Then I remembered that demigods don't have powers, so it's fair to use technology. Mrs. Wilson trusted and left us at the bathroom to clean ourselves, so she could tend to what she did last time. All of my clothes are safe inside the bag, but the outside smells bad. I just removed my things and used the brush to clean it thoroughly. I hang it outside to let it dry. Sander and Philip did the same. We went back to take a bath. "So," I said while I am rubbing the soap under my armpit. "I think we should help Mrs. and Mr. Wilson to catch Tiny." "I don't know...," doubted Sander as he poured himself water. "we could die if we get involved." "But what about the time we spent training? All that training will go to waste if we didn't use it to help others." "I agree with Leo," said Philip, washing his clothes. "because it will eventually become our job to help people in need." "If you guys say so," sighed Sander. We changed our clothes and decided to stay for a while so that our bags can dry up. We sat under a tree on a hill and ate our lunch. We can see most of the cows from up here. "This cow farm is so large," I said. "This one?" asked Philip. "This is much smaller than the land we till." "You till lands?" "Yeah, but using a tractor of course, but for some grownups, they till and plow the fields using their own strength as exercise. My dad, when he came back home from a campaign, tilled and plowed twenty hectares of land all by himself in a single day." "Wow!" I exclaimed. "He must be a strong warrior, isn't he?" "Yeah, and he was among the demigods who are sent to Mars to fight there." "Oh...," I said in a concerned tone. "You must be missing him." "Yeah... I think. That is why I'll have to work hard in the Academy so that I could take his place as a warrior of the family, for my brothers can feel how great a father he is to us." "That's rough...," I commented. "Are all males required to be warriors?" "Not necessarily," said Sander who is lying below us down the hill with his hands behind his head and facing the sky. "Because there are strong amazons - warrior women that mustn't be underestimated, like my mother. She's quiet but scary as hell." "My mother is very scary too," I said. "She is an MMA champion, but she's retired now to watch over Hera and me. My father is still continuing his career as an MMA fighter too, but he is afraid of Mom. There was even a time when he really made her angry, and he was knocked unconscious for two days. I still feel the chill in my spine when I talk about it." "That's one scary mother you got, Leo," said Philip. "Yeah," I laughed. "But overall, she's a great mom. She sacrificed her career for her children, and because of that, she will always be the champion of our family." I felt the cool breeze, and hear the brushing of the leaves. The wind made a sound in my ear as it passes by. It is cool as I felt it going to my face, but sometimes warm. "Must your family have a number of warriors to represent?" I asked. "Yeah," answered Philip. "Minimum is one warrior per family. We can choose to send more if we want to have a rich life, but our family is not with the face of money. My father volunteered so that we can live peacefully and safely. Our family includes my grandma, grandpa, mother, me, and my two younger brothers. Father is the only warrior in the family." "How about you, Sander?" I asked. "Me? We are a nuclear family of five people. My father and mother are warriors. My eldest sister is working in the lands, and my brother came back home from the battlefield because he lost his left eye." "Is he okay after that?" "Yeah, pretty much. He's very quiet, but a good brother. He never lets me work in the house." He laughed. "You lazy bum...," said Philip. I saw some cows running from something, and they made loud noises. Sander and Philip also tried to make up what is happening. "What is happening?" asked Sander. Philip said, "It's Tiny the Bull!"
