LEGEND OF THE VIPER(COMPLETE)

PROLOGUE

There were so many ways one could celebrate their twenty first birthday but never had she ever thought it would be this way. Dressed in a black beautiful and exquisite robe with a huge vicious viper on the back, she walked slowly with confident down the aisle as she went to her throne.

The hall was crowded with her followers, children of the cult and they all adorned their specific colors. Behind her the Oracle followed her. The only sound that was present was that of the drums being played at the ceremony. She finally arrived and stood there. The two leaders among the Oracle stepped forward and they all began to recite a verse from the ancient book. She didn't understand why they had to do all these rituals, she was already their leader anyway. The whole thing took an hour before she was handed what was more precious.

They handed her the box, from what she had heard the box had remained unopened for five centuries. She opened it and was amazed by the beauty that was in there. There were so many precious jewels, she was born in a wealthy family but this was too much. A lot of people would kill for this.

One of the priestesses helped her to put on the headdress which was shaped liked a viper, a golden chain with a viper pendant, a viper bracelet and anklet, and finally the ring. She knew how powerful every single thing she had on her body was. Anything can be used as a weapon but there was a great price to be paid and she was already paying it.

Everyone cheered and showed their appreciation before she sat on that chair with two vipers carved as armrests. However the ceremony was just beginning. She just wanted it to end, she had a birthday party to attend to. If she didn't show up then her family would cause a ruckus.

"Viper, the ceremony has come to an end. Is there something you want to say to your children?" the lead priestess asked her.

Viper stood up and looked at her children. She never thought she could just wake up and find herself with so many children who could die for her. It was going to be very difficult to remember all of them.

"I am new to all of this but i want you to know just how much i appreciate being part of tis wonderful family. I hope that you will remain as loyal as you were even before i joined. I am young and some of you may not like it but we all don't have a choice which brings me to my next statement. I hope that you will never cross me or do anything that will harm my family because i can assure you one thing. I am a very vengeful person and those that hurt me, i will triple the deed. It's already late so return to your families and be together. It's a beautiful night. Let's start tomorrow with a bang," she said and began to descend the stairs going towards the aisle.

She was leaving and couldn't wait to. As much as this was exciting and all, she needed some rest especially after everything she had gone through to sit on that chair.

"Viper, where do you want to go next?" Tom asked her.

"Let's go home, we have a party to attend,'' she said with a smile.

What will be waiting for her ahead? She didn't know and surely didn't give a damn.
