Chapter 3Sacrifice?
The aftermath of violent death is never a pretty sight, and, for a homicide detective like Juan Morales, the sight of one more victim, one more lifeless corpse, only added to his sense of the injustice that pervades the world we live in. Looking down at the human remains that lay on the causeway in front of the awesome Pyramid of the Sun, Morales couldn't help but feel a great sorrow that a young life had been extinguished so tragically, and, at first appearances, so brutally.
