What happened to the weather

The next morning when no-one found Ross and Caucus in their bed, they searched for them inside and out.

‘I didn’t think they would elope so soon’, whispered George with himself.

‘They have probably gone for a walk right’, said Anna, she seemed distressed imagining Ross and Caucus being together somewhere.

While in the enchanted forest, when Ross opened her eyes she was lying on Caucus’s chest. ‘What have we done’, she shouted. Caucus waking up ‘what happened to you now?’ 

‘It’s late, everyone might have already woke up, what uncle Jha must be thinking about me being disappeared for the whole night with you’, said she.

‘Don’t worry, just say them we were out for a walk’, said Caucus holding her hand.

‘Don’t think about the house, think a little far from the house, they can’t see us teleport’, said she.

Caucus hold her hand and closed his eyes another second they were at the nearby temple. They act like they were on their run when they reached the house.

‘Where had you been?’ Anna asked.

‘We were running, increasing our stamina for future’, lied Caucus

‘You should have woke me up, from tomorrow you will take me with you’, said Anna

‘why not’, said he trying to avoid her.

He went to the kitchen where the rest of them were having their share of potion. This time uncle Jha was the cook.

‘Your potion tastes way better than Ross’s’, said Voilet.

‘I know, I was the one who taught her to cook it, but she is really bad learner’, said uncle Jha completely ignoring Ross’s presence.

‘Am I invisible to you people, if you want to talk bad about me talk behind my back, it hurts when you throw it in my face’, said Ross trying to sound angry.

George came and sat next to Caucus.

‘So it happened right’, asked George.

‘What do you mean?’ said Caucus trying to sound rigid.

‘You can’t keep things from me, I know you didn’t go for a run. Just tell me, did you two expressed your feeling?’

‘Yes, but promise me you won’t tell anyone about it.’

‘I won’t, did you two kissed.’

‘Yes, but it wasn’t a regular kiss, it was different.’

‘you naughty boy, I am 25 years old now still I haven’t kissed anyone, I am kind of jealous of you.’ said George.

Meanwhile uncle Jha stood up and ordered everyone there to finish their potion fast and come outside for their training.

Everyone hurried, drank their potions, and went for their training.

‘As Caucus and Ross had already faced their magic, they will be getting trained separately’, said uncle. Caucus and Ross looked at each other and smiled with their eyes. While Anna was distressed being separated with Caucus.

Voilet, Migma, George, and Anna were asked to concentrate over the reason for them to need magic. While uncle Jha made Caucus focus on the range of his teleportation. The jungle which he went to the other day was 50 miles far from the house. ‘Teleport by the means of distance of separation, not by the name’, said uncle Jha to Caucus, ‘and you try to create a fireball and throw them where there is no threat for living’, said he to Ross, ‘I want your progress report at the end of the day.’

He went back to the searcher team. Anna was too upset about imagining Ross and Caucus spending time together that she made it the reason for getting her magic. She was so sure about it that she concentrated her whole body onto the point where she could get her magic and can finally join Caucus for training. She was feeling angry, sad, jealous, and left out all in the same time.

The sky was clear but soon it started raining with thunder and lightning, the wind started blowing everything around and soon it started throwing hailstone. One of the big hailstones. It broke windows and start clattering on the roof as if it’s going to make a hole up there. Anna, Voilet, George, and Migma were inside their aura so they were unaffected from it. But Caucus had to teleport with Ross to a safe place to continue their training. Uncle Jha gets inside the house. The weather finally started to clear when Anna opened her eyes, there was a pile of hailstone around her. ‘What happened’, said Anna removing the hailstone. 

‘Maybe weather is playing with us, anyway, it is fine now. So you can continue your training’, said he.

‘Isn’t there any shortcuts to attain magic uncle’, said Anna.

‘If there was, none of the searchers would have to be fed into the chamber for not having magic’ said the uncle.

‘You are right, how did Ross get her magic.’

‘She was already out of date, when she acquired one. We used to disappear whenever soldiers used to come to take her, After 2 years when she didn’t get her magic she tried to kill herself, that is when her magic saved her. The magic became the reason for her to be alive, so it came at the right moment’, said uncle.

‘Are you suggesting me to suicide, to get my magic.’

‘Let’s say you suicide, what if magic doesn’t come, do you want to die.’

‘No, I will meditate over suicide. I still have many things left to do’, said she and gets back to her meditation.

While on the other hand Caucus took Ross to somewhere which was 1000 miles far from the home. It was the edge of the sea. So Ross could practice making fireballs there without any threat to the living.

‘Stop staring at me, don’t forget we have to show our progress to Uncle Jha later’, said Ross still moving her hands ‘ignento incarous’, chanted she, it was a small fireball.

‘The fireball of that size can barely kill a mouse’, chuckled Caucus.

Ross ignoring Caucus continued to make fireballs, they were getting bigger in every attempt.

Caucus closed his eyes and chanted, he disappeared from the area and came back just in 10 seconds.

‘Where were you this time?’ asked Ross looking at Caucus who was acting weird.

‘It was dark and full of snow, it sounded like some big animals were coming toward me, I thought I was going to die there.’

‘Then you must have gone to no light area of our world.’

‘What is that?’

‘This part of the world is bright and warm because of lights stolen from different world which is exposed to the star but there is someplace in this world where no stolen lights have reached so those places are dark and cold. People say yeti lives there.’

‘You have yeti in this world too?’ asked Caucus.

‘Yes, we have but I don’t think it actually is there in earth, It is one of the magical creatures which only exist in the magical world.’

‘Anyway I am never going to go there.’

‘But I want to, take me there, I want to see yeti with my own eye’ said Ross.

‘Right now?’, asked Caucus

‘yes.’

‘I will, if only you promise to kiss me like yesterday when we are back’, said Caucus looking at Ross

‘I will think about it.’

Caucus hold her hands and closed his eyes, when they opened their eyes again it was dark all around

‘ignento incarous’ Ross murmured to herself moving her hands in the air lighting up the whole surrounding with the fireball. The whole area was covered with snow but there was no sign of other creatures.

‘It’s cold here’, said Caucus

‘Hold a little bit more I think we will find a yeti soon.’

‘But actually, yeti would never had seen such a thing called a fireball, so they must be afraid to come out because of it, if you want to lure it I think you should extinguish it first. She threw the ball on the snow. But after she threw it she knew the thing which she had suspected to be snow was actually a creature with its skin as white as snow’ ,‘ignento incarous’, she again begun to move her had in the air through the little light coming out from the fireball they could see a huge creature in front of them with his body covered with long and thick white fur, with two small eyes in its huge head and when it opened it’s mouth it was so big that it could have eaten them in a single shot. ‘Teleport us fast’, shouted Ross to him. ‘I am not in the mood right now’, said Caucus trying to suppress his fear.

‘It can eat us, please do something’, shouted Ross again.

‘Keep making fireballs and throw at it, if you succeed in making him go away, your today’s training will be a success’, said Caucus hiding behind her.

‘ignento incarous’, Ross begun to make more fireballs and threw it to that creature.

‘Big one, big one’, Caucus kept on screaming.

Ross made bigger and bigger fireballs that it finally lured that creature away.

Caucus hugged her tightly and brought her back to the beach.

They laid on the ground laughing.

‘You look really great when you laugh’, said Caucus looking at her ‘Now it’s time for you to return me my favor ’ said he smiling.

‘But I am rather thinking I don’t want to do it’, replied Ross.

‘You promised me, you will kiss me after we return.’

‘No, I said I will think about it.’

‘So think about it, because I am not going to return you home until you kiss me.’

‘Okay, this place is not bad enough to live.’

‘But being next to me, is really bad for you’, Caucus leaned toward her and kissed her.

‘You are really getting better at this’, said she kissing him back.

When they returned home it was already dinner time, Uncle Jha was making dinner for them.

‘So tell me about your progress’, said uncle 

Anna, George, Voilet, and Migma were sitting there on the ground waiting for the dinner.

‘I teleport to no light region which is the farthest place where I could have gone in this world’, said Caucus.

‘Not bad, but be careful from next time, there are many creatures there which can eat you in one bite’, said Uncle Jha.

‘That was not the problem’, said Caucus ‘because Ross lured them away with her big fireballs.’

‘Great Ross’, said he pointing to her with his big wooden spoon.

‘You went there together?’ Anna asked from behind.

‘No, we first went to a beach where it was easier for me to throw fireballs, then Caucus went there first and he took me too later’ said Ross looking at Caucus.

A sudden change in the weather occurred again. Heavy rainfall occurred along with thunder and lightening.

‘Was the weather in this world always like this?’, asked Voilet.

‘It’s strange, it was never this way, this morning when hailstone occurred, it occurred only inside our territory’, said uncle.

‘What does it mean?’ asked Voilet.

‘It means either someone is doing it from outside to give us hard time or someone here has acquired their magic, look for George, Anna and Migma’, ordered uncle Jha.

Anna was still sitting on the ground in the kitchen, tears were dropping from her eyes.

‘Why are you crying’, said Caucus coming toward her.

‘I am just afraid of thunder’, said Anna crying even more this time.

‘I am here for you’, said Caucus pulling her to his chest ‘it’s okay, it is going to end soon’, he embraced her. Soon the weather was clearing up. Everyone went to the kitchen to continue waiting for their dinner. When Ross entered Anna was still in his chest. Their eyes met and an awkward silence filled the room. ‘See, the thunder is gone now, everything is okay’, said Caucus freeing her from his chest. Anna nodded yes.

Then it was time for their dinner. Uncle Jha served each of them.
