There was another loud bang on the other side of the wall. On the side where the window was. I tried to look more closely to see what it might be, but all I could see was darkness. Even though I knew it was dangerous to walk alone in the woods at night, I had to find out where David had gone. I quickly turned towards the exit of the room and quietly made my way towards the main exit of the house. The whole house was in darkness and not a soul could be heard.
