Well, I made it—by an inch almost too tall! Planes will be cramped, and tall nurses would be miserable. Over weight nurses don’t exist here.. They keep us running and working so hard any extra weight fell off long ago.
You wouldn’t believe all the studying to earn our wings—nothing like regular nursing. I pray I never have to use: ocean survival and religious procedures in an emergency. We spent time in an altitude chamber so we can recognize injured patients having problems. With no idea where we’ll be stationed, proficiency in tropical, arctic, and desert survival are essential.
