It has been almost two weeks since the solstice and I hadn't seen Rune in all that time. Until today. I was beginning to think that maybe he didn't want to train me anymore, but he showed up this morning, acting as casual as ever. Obviously, I couldn't question him about what he'd said in the forest, not in front of Elijah. I should have told Elijah about what he said that night, but I just couldn't. I know exactly how Elijah would have reacted. He would have stopped me from seeing Rune, and that's something that I don't want to happen. I don't want to stop training, and I don't want to lose one of the few friends I have here. I also want more answers, and it's Rune who can provide them for me.
"What did you mean in the forest?" I ask above the wind as we take to the skies.
