--   “C-Can you change the past?” the question vibrated through the walls of the shop. Dawn felt his whole body tensed up because he thought that his wish might be absurd or not doable. What if they told me I’m a lunatic for asking something like this!? but they told me to wish something I want and this is what I want! Dawn held his decision firm and his eyes were not wavering as he said those words.       Lau and Christine glanced at each other before meeting Dawn’s unwavering eyes.     “Your wish was vague so let me ask you this, what kind of past do you want to change?” Dawn blinked several times as he realized that his wish had many looped holes. He swallowed before speaking again. His mind trying to pick the right words as he felt like he was lacking vocabulary right now.     “Those people,” He said as he remembered the six people he saw last week on the card. “I want to change their fate. I don’t want them to die.” Dawn sincerely wished from the bottom of his heart and silently prayed that the gods would answer his almost  impossible wish.     “I see” Christine said before placing the notebook on the table beside the coffee mug. Dawn glanced at the black notebook that seemed so mysterious to him.     Time ticked soon, Dawn realized that none of them spoke for certain span of time. He suddenly felt cold sweats forming on his forehead as he tried to calm his heart and mind that started to over think.     He looked down biting his lips. I feel like I asked an impossible wish. But they asked me what I want and this was the only think I could ask for.     “Don’t tense up.” Lau’s voice echoed in his ears making him feel at ease but not relieved. He swallowed several times and tried to draw his courage that seemed to be waving at him biding goodbye.     “Your wish is not impossible so don’t sweat so much.” Lau said as he chuckled as if he was saying a joke.     It’s not a joke for me! Mr. Lau why are you always laughing? Am I a joke? Dawn said in his mind as he felt bitter but listen carefully to what Lau had said after.     “You see,” Lau tapped the table with his index finger as if he was thinking. “Your wish is not impossible but it’s also hard.”     “Why?” Dawn can’t help but blurt out even though he knew that changing something from the past would require something called a miracle.     “Do you believe in fate? Or things such as destiny?” Lau asked him as his eyes met him urging him to answer his question. Subconsciously, his eyes left Lau for he can’t bare the pressure of his eyes and glanced at Miss Christine who was listening to their conversation like a spectator.     “I don’t?” his respond came as a question as he felt the burden of the question. Dawn was not really the type of person who believed in something called fate. His reasons were simple. If he would believe on such things then, it meant that his predicaments, all the things he had suffered, his trauma, the things he refused to accept would mean that it was planned and he was meant to be like this.       Accepting such things would like lead Dawn to be insane so he answered no even though there’s a fact being laid in front of him right now.     Lau was not shock on his answer instead he looked like he was expecting it. He smiled once more as he tapped the table. Seconds after seconds, the tapping sound became louder as if it was begging to be notice by Dawn.     Dawn’s eyes landed on Lau’s finger tapping the coffee table and in an instant, the interior of the shop disappeared and it was replaced with a brown mountains with and a vast sky. On the vast sky were doors.    Floating doors. Each door had different color. The sudden changed of the scene rendered Dawn to be speechless as he harshly motion his head up to looked at the doors that was floating around him.   Where am I? is this some kind miracle? Such things can’t be explained by science! But since changing past and wishes are not part of science then.. ugh   Dawn seemed like he can’t understand the situation in front of him but decided to accept it.   They were still sitting on their own chairs and the coffee table was still there. The only thing that disappeared was their surroundings as it was now replaced with a vast sky with several doors.   Dawn expectantly looked at Lau waiting for his sentence to be finished.     “Destiny and fate do exists,” Lau gave a brief introduction as he continued. “However, they are only outlines and you can still have the power over your life. These doors reflected your fate or your destiny.”   “Huh?”       “You see, these doors are choices. Let me give you an example. Let us examine your life in a day. First, the moment you open your eyes you have different choices. You can chose not to wake up early and just lay on the bed or wake up and do something productive to start your day. Your previous choice would greatly affect your future actions and your future choices. Now, looked at these doors. These doors represents the choices you make in a day. In conclusion, you are making thousands and thousands of choices every single day. Now, your wish meant that you needed to open back the closed doors your friends had once chosen to reset their future. That is the reason why I told you that your wish was not easy.”   “But it’s doable right?” Dawn asked and Lau nodded.   “Yes.” Lau confirmed. “But you need something that can bend fate and reverse the time back that’s the reason why we” Lau pointed himself and Christine, “are here.”   “ we can give you the variable that can bend the fate in request on fulfilling your wishes. But since it was called a wish remember that it has the possibility of failing or coming true.”   “our authority towards fate is not absolute therefore we can only influence certain areas so in order to fulfill your wish you needed to be in action.”     So, Mr. Lau is trying to say that my wish is doable right? Right? Dawn’s heart was beating wildly and as he processed his thoughts and coming to conclusion his wish would come true. He swallowed hard clenching his fist as he listened with great attention.     “In this sense, we can give you the authority to travel back in time.” Dawn’s ears perked up as soon as he heard the word travel back in time. It was really coming true. The fictions and theories he read in the internet and in the books was now coming true. He held his breath for a few seconds trying to calm his heart.   This moment looked like and felt like a sunrise for Dawn reflecting his name. It meant that he had a chance and it meant that he can be happy. He bit his lips again surpassing the urge clap his hands as he felt genuinely happy for the first time after many years.     “But, there are certain rules you must take note.” Lau’s voice was serious as he said those words making Dawn listened to him attentively.   “You can only influence certain actions in a span of seven days before the time resets back again. If you failed to influence the change you wanted to produce the time would reset again until the desired future was attained. Second, in every seven days, you will be trapped on a certain space as the scene reverts back.”   “Why?”   “The reason is simple, so that you will not be influence by the time and keep your insanity in check.”   “And lastly, you cannot tell the people around you that you are from the future. Also, let me give you some warnings. Influencing the past doesn’t mean that the future you want will happened. It all depends on the choice each one make and what stage they would play. And I don’t want to crush your spirit but, in the past one hundred years, we have encountered several people wanting to change the past but as of now, only one person was capable of changing his past.”   --
