--   Dawn graduated as a c*m laude back when he was studying his bachelor’s degree so, every one can assume that he was not dumb at all nor he did not lack  basic understanding to the information that were always in front of him. However, as Lau talked and explain several points he need to consider, he seemed like he was lost in the deep ocean with no light to guide his way.   Subconsciously, he motion his arms in front of Lau’s face and open his palm to indicate that he need to stop for now because he can’t keep up with the information. Dawn was still in daze because of the shock he received from realizing that his wishes can come true and his friends can come back to life was now in his reach and a moments away from him.     It meant that he finally had the chance.   At that moment he felt happiness and enlightenment that Dawn failed to give his full attention to Lau who was even discussing important points to consider.   Lau looked at him with an eyes asking a question if Dawn was okay. Suddenly, Dawn felt embarrassed as his ears turned pink. He smiled shyly before saying, “Can you repeat it again? I was still in daze and I didn’t understand most of the things you had explain.” As the question rolled down on his lips, Dawn wanted the ground to swallow him hole but with all his might, he tried his best to look calm and collected to the two people who was about to give him miracles.   Lau didn’t feel offended in fact he and Christine were expecting this kind of reaction. After a thousand years of work related to people with wishes, they already memorized the initial reactions of humans when they realized that their desires can come true. Being in this field for a thousand years now gave them some kind of assurance that they can handle anything and everything.   Lau cleared his throat and open his mouth to repeat his explanations once more. This time, Dawn listen attentively like his life depend on it.   “As you know, I told you that in order for you to travel back in time you’re going to need us for we hold the key to bend fate and destiny but our mysticism are only limited to what your heart truly wanted. We will only create opportunity for you and you need to act in order to attain the outcomes you wanted.   “In this case you need to understand that you will travel back in time and you will pass several doors. These doors indicate the choices you need to choose and after opening it, the stage called present will play. In the span of seven days you need to chose the right door and be present at the right stage for you to proceed to another scene and another door.”   Dawn was silent for a while a he digest everything Lau had said. He glanced at the doors that were floating, hanging and even dancing at the vast sky. Dawn had taken note about their looks and colors. Some doors are painted with red, white and black. Some are even purple and gold. Some are double doors and contain different patterns that indicates its mysteriousness.   As his eyes landed on these, his mind was trying to understand what Lau had said. If he would interpret it in his own words, Lau seemed to be talking about stages, present, choices and doors. Meaning to say in his travel he would encounter a certain scene that would require him to influence his friend to choose the right choice/door and if it was the outcome he wanted, they will move on to the next scene but if not, the cycle would continue and repeat every seven days until Dawn reached his desired outcome.   Having to understand this, Dawn once again looked at Lau urging him to continue his explanation.     Lau nodded his head as he understood what Dawn wanted to tell him. He sipped his coffee before opening his mouth once again. Christine was still at his side listening to their conversation like a beautiful doll she is.   “the heaviness of the stage and choices correspond to the experience of your friends whom you wish to save. The environment you will also see reflects on how your friends view his world that is the reason why some people in the past that had the same wish as you ended up being insane.  Honestly speaking even though you see this as a miracle or a wish this is practically a gamble you needed to win no matter what because if you can’t you will end up in their consciousness forever.”   So this is the consequences I need to take in order to make my wish come true. Dawn said to himself as he finally realized the heaviness of what he wanted. Since Dawn was experience with such genre after reading many fantasy book or even reading some manga and watching anime. Those were the reason why he knew such things have heavy risk but he had also decided that no matter what he would make his wish come true. This was his regret after all.   Dawn nodded. He was telling Lau that he understood the severity of his wish and that he was still firm at his decision besides, he knew to himself that he would rather die than live a life as the loser he always is.   “I understand,” Dawn had said and it was at the same time that the interior of the coffee shop came into view replacing the vast sky and the floating doors. Dawn was taken back again as he felt that the transition felt natural and not out of place at all.   He glanced from left and right making sure that they were really back from the shop and not in that place. When he saw the people outside walking with either their phones in their hands, he felt the sudden relief washing over him.   Dawn heard Lau chuckled so he moved his eyes to looked at them once again. Christine remained silent and Lau was sipping his coffee like nothing happened. It seemed like they were back to normal but at the same time, Lau moved his monocle on his right eye and said, “You’re pretty much courageous after all.” Lau complemented him and as soon as Dawn heard the word courageous he flinched.   Just like happiness, the word courageous sounded unfamiliar and terrifying to him. It was because he was not that kind of person at all. He was a coward and he knew from the bottom of his heart that this wish also was part of his coward acts. However, even Dawn did not like the word he made no attempt to correct Lau.   --
