**"COVID-APOCALYPSE"**
Chapter 2. A TALE OF UNEXPLAINABLE CREATURES
"Aaahhhh!" The woman, who had been thrown back on the bed, exclaimed. She could feel her body trembling, and she was terrified. "Chantel, relax, it's just a dream. Only in movies and fiction do zombies exist," Chantel whispered to herself.
Chantel stood up and began to panic when she realized that her grandmother was no longer in her bed. "Grandma! Grandma!!! Where are you?! Oh my God, no, no, this can't be true! Grandma?!" Chantel called her grandmother in confusion.
"What's the matter, Chantel? Stop screaming. What happened to you, Chantel?" The old voice answered not far from where Chantel was.
Chantel quickly ran to the kitchen, where the voice was coming from, and immediately hugged the old woman. "Grandma, I really thought it was true," she broke into tears. Although confused by what her granddaughter was saying, she hugged her back.
"Please tell me what happened, Chantel." The old woman pleaded. "Grandma, I just dreamed about zombies and I—I also became one of them!" She complained tearfully to the old woman, while still not removing the hug.
Chantel's grandma is in her 80s, old enough that she can no longer go far from home, but she never ceases to make Chantel feel loved and cared for, especially since Chantel's parents died a year ago and Chantel was left with only her grandmother.
"Chantel, what's the matter with you? I thought you were a fan of zombies? You had merely dreamed them, yet look how terrified you are, foolish brat. You should probably quit reading and watching about zombies," the old woman laughed in response to Chantel. "Come and eat, Chantel. Today the vaccination will be held at the center, right?" Chantel simply nodded to the old woman and grabbed utensils and plates for the two of them.
She spooned fried rice into her plate gently, and she and her grandmother both started to eat. Chantel was still very worried not only for herself but for her grandmother's condition. If her dream comes true, she believes there is very little possibility for them to survive.
"Grandma? Make sure the door is locked when I leave and also please don’t leave the house until I'm home," Chantel said reassuringly to the old woman.
"Chantel, nothing bad will happen to me. They're just scared of me, hayah!" while waving the wooden cane as if it were a sword. Chantel shook her head at the old woman's antics, and they both laughed.
"One more thing, Chantel. Limit the use of your cell phone. You must have read something on the internet. Stop being persuaded by fake news, silly brat," the old woman scolded Chantel.
"Just listen, Grandma. Don't go out until I'm home, and don't let anyone else enter our house, please promise me," Chantel pleaded with the old woman. The old woman did nothing but agree to what her granddaughter wanted to happen so that it would stop worrying her.
