**"COVID- APOCALYPSE"** Chapter 1. CHANTEL DAIGAN It's already Saturday, and today is also the day when people in Barrio Talisay and other parts of the Philippines will be vaccinated. It's been over a year since Covid-19 began to have depressing effects all over the world, and Chantel has been there to witness it all. After her parents' deaths, Chantel moved in with her grandmother to an old house away from the city – old and frail because, in addition to large holes in various parts of the roof, there are also holes in various parts of the house's wall, very different from her usual life. Chantel was not an outgoing person, but there is a place where she can relax and let her worries go. She is not good at interacting with others, but there are a few people with whom she opens up, but only one person remained, and this was her grandmother. After a long wait, a vaccine for Covid-19 has been developed and will now be distributed for free to the poor. When Chantel arrived at the gym where the vaccinations would take place, there was already a large crowd. Almost everyone is already in line because, in addition to the free Covid-19 vaccine, people who are vaccinated will receive a thousand pesos. Chantel came to a halt when she noticed her pregnant neighbor Edna, who was dressed in a short blue dress and appeared to have recently been vaccinated. Chantel felt a mixture of surprise and concern for the child Edna was carrying. She has faith in the vaccine's creators, but Chantel is concerned about its safety, particularly for the elderly and pregnant women. "Perhaps this will suffice; there's also money in exchange, which will be useful for Grandma's maintenance." While talking to herself, Chantel abruptly shouted in response to the sudden ringing of her cell phone, drawing the attention of those in the queue next to her. "I'm sorry," Chantel timidly apologized to the people. Chantel groped and took the phone from her faded jeans; she was about to answer the phone but couldn't read the caller's name. Someone called her name at the same time. "Again, Miss Daigan, Chantel?" It is your turn, ma'am," said the faceless female nurse, wondering though she still followed inside. It was all white when she entered the room and there is a doctor wearing her white robe, but it still has no face. It all started with the call that until now she could not read its name. There are letters, but they seem like new letters to her because she can't even read them. Upon understanding the events, "Okay, Ms. Daigan, you've completed your vaccinations, and here's your one thousand pesos," the doctor said. He was wearing a white robe but still no face. "Ohh, it's over, I didn't even notice; I'll go ahead and thank you, doctor." Chantel remarked. She rose from her seat and began walking along the corridor she had entered earlier. Chantel became dizzy and held her head in her hands as a result of her dizziness. Chantel noticed something unusual surrounding her when she spat into the room. The former crowd is already yelling, sobbing, and fleeing. Blood and flesh were also strewn everywhere. "What's going on, heee," Chantel held her chest before she could finish her sentence. "Hee-lp! I can't breathe." Chantel couldn't breathe and was in horrible pain, as if her head had been nailed. "He- lp me!"
