As they pulled in the drive the security guys, Mikhail noticed, were still manning the gates, but when they entered the house only Vince was there waiting.
He hugged Natalie to him tenderly and kissed her forehead. “Mistress, thank god you’re alright. I can’t believe Hades did that to you.”
Natalie hugged him tight. “He will always be obeyed…one way or another.”
She stepped back and smiled weakly at him, the smile not reaching her eyes. “Go stay at the guard house, take Gareth with you.”
