Stepping inside the house back at the ranch, Natalie was pleasantly surprised to see Gareth standing next to Jack and Ryan. She noticed Zagreus standing off to the side his arms folded and his usual amused look on his face.
Natalie flew into Gareth’s arms and embraced him strongly. “Gareth! I’m so glad you’re back, why did you leave? Is Londo okay?”
They all heard the growl at the mention of Londo’s name. Natalie turned to Mikhail with a caustic look, as Mikhail folded his arms and calmly stared back at her.
Gareth gritted his teeth to see the dominance Mikhail was demonstrating in the week he had been gone, the whole dynamic of the ranch had shifted the moment Mikhail walked into the room. Mikhail appeared to now be the boss.
