Mikhail was unconscious for two days while the others all licked their wounds. A healer had been brought to the ranch to knit Vince’s broken arm and Ryan had ended up with broken ribs, everyone else had come through the ordeal with superficial bumps and scrapes.
Natalie never left her bedroom. She sat next to Mikhail, changing out the wet cloth on his forehead and feeding water past his clenched teeth, while he at times slept peacefully and other times he thrashed in pain.
