Dawn came chilly with the snow that had fallen through the night blanketing everything. The huts, however, were surprisingly warm and cosy through the night and as Mikhail and Natalie emerged from their hut on the top terrace they walked to the edge and looked down the terraces at the slow activity of everyone starting to rise. Mikhail pointed to a nearby plateau on the next mountain over…it was an alpine meadow that looked reasonably flat. “I’m heading over there after breakfast to train.” Natalie nodded and chewed her lip. “What’s the matter?” Mikhail asked. “Raven’s not back yet.” “Hmm?
