The devastation inside of me begins to stitch back together, my heart becoming whole once more. Killian may still be unconscious but I know he has been returned to me and I will never let him go again.
Wiping my tears as I move out of my father’s arms I survey the warehouse. It is utter devastation we have obliterated their defences, a sea of blood covers the floor with decapitated bodies everywhere. My father follows my gaze and gives a little chuckle his voice merging with Conri’s ethereal one “We’ve still got it!” And I can’t help the little bubble of laughter that escapes me.
