I watch the happiness on his face as he is surrounded by his new family who accept him, I love the way his smile beams so brightly at Flora every time she calls him my boy and the earnest intensity that he hangs on her every word with.
My mum wraps an arm around my shoulders and leans in to whisper in my ear “He really is very handsome isn’t he?” And I blush a little giving her a smile. “I think you should take him to get cleaned up and rest now, otherwise you’ll never get him back” she adds teasingly smiling over at him and Flora.
