FACADE

Chapter Six

Jason POV 

   I came out of the class room i hide myself so i could sleep in peace. I am ready to go home but i have been trying Christian number and he isn't answering his calls.

   I can't leave him to go home. We go home together. I know he is probably talking to some girls or smooching one of them in the lab. He answers his phone when he is practicing, so I know he is not practicing.

   I sigh angrily and i walk to the field and sat on the bleacher to wait for him. It's a good spot to see him if he is approaching.

   I was still waiting for Christian when I see my friends laughing under the trees. They were talking with Laila.

   What was she saying to them? I thought.

   Then i saw Favour holding Laila wrist. He was smiling. I know they are doing their usual game so i decide to look away.

   Laila is the unfortunate one to be their subject of amusement.

   But I could not get the image out of my mind - Favour holding Laila wrist.

   I look back to see him whispering something in her ear. I suddenly feel angry at the promixity. I take my bag and climb down the bleachers. I walk up to them.

   Laila push Favour away angrily. He only move back but he kept holding her wrist.

   My blood boils seeing him laugh at her way of trying to defend herself.

   They might be my friends but i don't give a s**t about them. I use them to bully others. They are my partners in crime.

"Leave her alone." I said coldly at him.

   He quickly let go. They might be my friends but they know me better when i am angry. And they know what i am capable of doing.

    The other three under the tree stood and the smile on their faces disappear. The girl sitting on George lap said something to him quickly and scram away.

   Laila turn around to see who save her. Surprise was written all over her cute face when she sees me.

    I look at her wrist to see if Favour had hurt her. It look okay and i look back at her face.

"What are you still waiting for?" I said to her harshly.

  She blink in surprise. I don't want her to think I'm a good guy within or been soft with her. I'm not and she need to know. I just help her because I couldn't take the stupid and repeated act my friends do.

"Nothing. Thanks." She muttered.

  I look away and I threw my bag at Favour. He catch it quickly.

   She turn and leave.

   When she was out of sight i turn to the boys that had been staring at me silently.

"What the hell was that? Don't you get tired of using the same method?" I asked them.

"What's wrong man? You never complain about it." George said.

"But i am now."

"We could try new method. You just gave us a new idea." Favour said with a smirk.

"Whatever. But stay away from her." I said. They open their eyes wide at me.

They look flabbergasted.

   I don't blame them. They had never see me care about any girl.

  I don't care about her but i don't want them near her.

"Are you beginning to have interest in girls?" Saheed asked me curiously.

"Just stay away from her and don't ask me stupid question." I said harshly. I nod at Favour to give me back my bag and he gave it back to me.

    She is my business and i am the only one who can toy with her. I'm just waiting for the right time.

   As I begin to walk away, i heard Christian call my name. I turn around to see him running toward me waving his hand for me to stop.

   So I stop and stood in my position until he get to where i was standing.

"Uh." He exhale. And he tries to catch his breath. "Sorry for keeping you waiting."

"Why did you not answer your calls?"

   He didn't say anything but just give me that his ever cute smile.

   I roll my eyes since i already understand what he means.

"Don't you ever get tired?" I asked walking away. And i heard him follow behind.

"No." He replied and i know without looking at him that he is smiling.

   Mr Job, my driver was already waiting for us. Christain greet him cheerfully as he normally does and i just murmur a greeting which he still reply to. And we went home.
