Chapter 26 : Breaking her Castor's POV "Good girl" I patted her head. She stared at me with big innocent eyes, I felt my heart race and quickly averted my gaze. I pulled my pants and left Faedra's room. I shut the door with different things running through my mind. What just happened? What did I just do? Has I lost my mind? I reacted and forced Faedra to pleasure me after I had smelt Shades' scent on her and suspected that something must have happened between them. I sighed and ran my hand through my hair. What was I thinking? I had probably made her even more afraid of me. Not like I cared. I had been jealous and felt overprotective after finding my brother's scent on her. Jealous was an understatement of how I felt at that moment. I wanted to claim her in every single way, I had to hold myself back. I didn't want to look weak, I didn't want her to see how much my body craved for her. I didn't want her to think she had any power over me. I wanted to mold her insides into my shape. The thought made my little man stair again. Even the thought of her turned me on. "f**k" I groaned out. Since when have I become like this. "But we have rejected her" I mumbled to myself in confusion. Why was still I feeling this way. Normally, after mates reject each other, their mate bond is broken. Everything stops. If their feelings were based on the fact that they were mates, they would stop loving each other. They would stop feeling all they felt, any sort of attraction between them will cease to exist. However if their feelings were true, no rejection could break that bond. No rejection could stop what they felt for each other. What they had between them, would never cease to them. They were true mates. This didn't apply to Faedra and I. We only mated, we never marked or accepted her as our mates. We rejected her immediately, so why was I feeling this way? I touched my chest to feel my racing heart. Or could it be because of the fact that she was carrying our child? It hadn't even been confirmed that the child was ours. What could be happening ? I ran my tongue over my lower lip and let out a sigh. I walked down the corridor, a frown on my face as I ignored every maid that walked past me, greeting and throwing advances at me. I would've grabbed one and f****d her brain out but I didn't feel like. Surprisingly I didn't feel drawn to any of them. They all looked dull compared to Faedra. Why was I comparing them to Faedra? I felt my head ache, I was unconsciously comparing other girls with my pregnant rejected mate. Mate! The word made me shiver. I didn't want a mate. A few years ago after our father died. After he was killed by his mate and brother. After we were thrown out by our mother and uncle, Shades and I had sworn to get revenge on them and to never have a mate, to avoid ending up like our father. We didn't want a fate like his. Faedra was only a distraction. We needed her out of the way. And to make matters even more complicated, she was our distant cousin and the daughter of our wretched uncle and greatest enemy, Liddell. A part of me wanted to make her suffer. A part of me wanted to make her pay for what her father had done to mine. But I couldn't. I couldn't hurt her, I fisted my palm and punched the wall beside me. I somehow ended up in front of Shades' door. I had walked down here absentmindedly. I sighed and pushed the door open. It was dark and I saw him standing in front of his window on the other side of the room. He looked like he was brooding. The whole atmosphere was tense and awkward. I saw a cigarette stick on his fingers. I frowned, Shades only smoked when he was bothered. Something was obviously bothering him and I knew him, he wasn't one to share his problems or speak out when something was bothering me. "Why are you here" He said taking the cigarette to his mouth and drawing. The atmosphere felt awkward as I didn't know what to say. I only stepped into the room and closed the door behind me. "I don't know" I said to him. ., walking towards the light switch however what he said next made me pause. "You had yours huh" He took the cigarette back and puffed out chuckling. I frowned and turned to him. "What do you mean?" "Did you have your fill from Faedra as well?" I gritted my teeth at his words. "She is not your property, she doesn't belong to you" I shot at him. "Of course " He mumbled but I heard. "Until she gives birth to OUR pup, she belongs to US. She is OURS and not only yours!" I laid emphasis on those words and Shades laughed like he had just heard the funniest thing ever. "Nothing in the contract we signed states so." he said bluntly to me and I frowned. "What if she decides to not be in your command? What if she refuses to do what you say? What will you do there?" Shades asked mockingly. I glanced down at him. "What do you mean? What are you trying to say? Or should I say do?" I threw the questions at him. "Oh nothing " He shrugged casually. " I'm just saying that since she isn't bound to any contract which says any of that possessive s**t" He turned to the window "I just think it would be fun to make Alpha Liddel's daughter my personal slave. A b***h who only listens to my commands, always at my disposal. Don't you think that'll be fun brother? It surely is going to humiliate Liddel, don't you think?" I clenched my fists at his words while glaring at his back. Shades paused and continued. "But a b***h allows just any random person between her legs right? So, I don't have any high expectations from her. It's just that she seems more fun than before. Maybe we could break her as she stays here. What do you think?" He turned to me with a smile on his face. "Don't you think it'll be a big bet and a wonderful game. Break her as Liddel broke our mother and humiliated our father." The corner of shades lips crooked upward in a devious smile. He threw his cigarette stick and walked towards me, patting my shoulder while provoking me. He asked. "What do you think? Want to play this game with me, brother?" I glared at Shades and pushed his hand off my shoulder. "As much as I don't want to do it ,with her being pregnant, I do feel tempted " i told him. He suddenly burst out laughing. "Just admit it brother, we are still being affected by the mate bond even with the rejection." I gulped, he was also being affected and had noticed as well. "I do feel a little pity for her considering she is pregnant with my heir " He said dryly. "But there are many ways to break her. Don't you think so brother?" He raised his brows at me. I felt my heart beat twice as fast. I just averted his gaze and turned around, leaving the room.
