Aurelia's POV
I get out of Julian’s shiny car my heart beating fast as the engine hums behind me.
The weekend at the Adams' house plays in my mind like a storm.. laughing with his family that awkward picnic where Sierra made rude comments and then the moment in his room that still makes my face hot.
Julian wanted to drive me home and now he leans over the seat his grey eyes staring at me with a deep look I can’t read.
“Are you sure you're okay Aurelia?” he asks. His voice is calm and low but I can hear the worry in it which makes me nervous. He reaches toward me his hand close to mine on the door but he doesn’t touch me. Not after what almost happened last night.
I nod quickly and try to smile but it feels stiff.
