Sandy's p.o.v Was I heartless? no. The people who made Scarlet were the ones that were heartless. They were monsters that were driven by pride, selfishness, and greed. I stood watching Micheal as he tried to move and loosen the ropes from his hands, it had been two days since he was taken in and he had no water to drink nor food to eat. He looked slightly pale but mostly tired. In my hands was a silver cup of water, mixed with Thallium poison, It had been called the "poisoner's poison." since it was colorless, odorless, and tasteless; its slow-acting, painful and wide-ranging symptoms were often suggestive of a host of other illnesses and conditions. It was a perfect death that he deserved. I had no idea how I knew what the poison did. All I knew was that through Scarlet's memories I saw where she had hidden it and what it was used for. I couldn't see beyond that if the poison was for her to take or for her to poison other people. The poor lady battled her feelings and kept them hidden for years. I felt some of her emotions and the most strong emotion she felt was hate. Hate for the family that badly treated her, hate for the man that was in front of me. I wanted him dead on her behalf and no one was going to stand in my way. "Please stop pulling your hands, you will hurt yourself." I said softly. He looked at me and groaned loudly. "Have you come to gaze upon me and satisfy your craziness?" He asked in a low tone. "No." I lied when deep down my heart I knew that seeing him struggling this much was very amusing. "You know what little Scarlet?. Sooner or later my people will come for me, do you know why the general won't kill me?. It's because he knows how much value I have, my family is favoured by the emperor and he doesn't want to be out of favour with his majesty. I will be free and then I will slit your throat, right after pounding into your sweet Virginia mercilessly." He said with a smirk. I tensed as tears formed in my eyes, I needed to make him feel satisfied knowing that I was intimated and scared of him when in reality he was just some dog whose bite wasn't lethal. "Please, forgive me. I was wrong to lie to the people, if master and the madame does find out about all this, they will kill me, please young master I'm begging you." I cried. He smiled and stopped pulling his hands. "I knew you would come around, after all, you will always be my slave. Now untie me." He ordered. I slowly went to him and put the cup down, then stood behind him and untied his hands.  He removed his hands from the back of the chair and stood up with a smile. "Was that hard to do slut?" He asked loudly. I was about to answer when a hard punch came crushing on my cheek sending me stumbling and falling down. "Master please have mercy." I sobbed. He laughed then leaned down and picked up the silver cup, and drunk from it. "So you thought you could buy me with water?. Just because I have been dehydrated for a few days. Do you take me for a fool?. I am the heir of the Hau family, to buy my favour you have to do more than just opening your legs." He said then walked to me and grabbed my hair. "Sandy?" Beatrice called loudly. "Shit." Micheal whispered then let go of my hair and quickly rushed out of the room. I laughed Softly ignoring the pain I was in. I stood up and fixed my hair to cover up my cheek then walked out of the room after picking up the cup. I slowly moved in the passage making sure my footsteps weren't heavy or heard. "Sandy," Beatrice called again and this time her voice came from my room. I quickly went there and got in, she rushed to me when she saw me. "Are you okay?. The guard outside came to inform me that you weren't feeling well." She said. I embraced her with a smile and inhaled deeply. "I wasn't feeling well so I went to drink some water." I answered then pulled back and walked to the bed before she could look at me carefully I put the cup down and took off my sandals then got on the bed and lay down facing the other side. "Is there something bothering you?" She asked softly while moving closer and sat down beside me. "Can you believe it if I told you that I came from another time?" I asked softly. She kept quiet for a few minutes then chuckled softly. "No, but that doesn't mean I don't believe in things such as fate, I know that In this world there are unknown forces and unexplainable miracles. They seem impossible to most of us but to a few lucky ones they are possible and they had the privilege to experience them first hand." She answered. "I had a dream last night, in my dream I came from another time. To be specific, I came from the future. And in that future, I was so unlucky because I was born from parents that were very rich but had no time and love for me. In my dream, I was so lonely and had no one to talk to or laugh with. I turned to books to fill the void that I had in my heart but it was of no use." I Whispered with forming tears then swallowed a forming lump that was forming in my throat. She pressed her hand gently in my hair and brushed it backwards. "It was all just a dream Sandy, I'm sure that your parents dearly love you." She whispered. "Then why did they sell me off to people who did so many horrible things to me?" I sobbed. She leaned in and rested her head on my shoulder. "I don't know what you had gone through, but what I know is that you are safe from them." She whispered. "Please don't let them take me away from here mother, they will hurt me." I cried. "I won't Sandy, and I promise you that." she answered seriously. "Thank you." I whispered then closed my eyes. I didn't want to take advantage of her kindness, but what I seriously needed was just that, she and general Paul were my exclusive ticket of ever meeting Prince Stephen.  I wasn't going to let him die in vain, all I needed was a little more time to save him even if it costs me my last breath.
