Amber's POV
I had woke up to feel a deep hurt in my chest. I knew it was not mine, looking around the room I found Hawk standing at the window. I could feel the pain radiating off him in waves. I got up and went to him I knew this pain. This was that pain that scars the soul. I have felt it, Being alone with it is awful. I would not let him feel this alone. I wrapped my arms around him.
Having him bring me back to the bed, I knew his heart was easing. So, I let my body take me back to sleep as I heard him say "I have no better place to be." My heart smiled hearing that.
